Learn About the Powerful Health Benefits of Mint for Overall Health and Vitality!

Learn About the Powerful Health Benefits of Mint for Overall Health and Vitality! We lead busy lives and often times, common little (and big) ailments get in the way. You know the ones: headaches, fatigue, back pain, muscle stiffness, indigestion …. And that’s just the beginning. What’s amazing is that mint is a magical plant that has highly therapeutic benefits that both relieve the symptoms of these common ailments as well provide a more strengthened immune system.
When you combine mint with eucalyptus, the benefits go through the roof!
Here are some examples:

Respiratory Disorders and Coughs: The strong aroma of mint is very effective in clearing up congestion of the nose, throat, bronchi and lungs, which gives relief for respiratory disorders that often result from asthma and the common cold. As mint cools and soothes the throat, nose and other respiratory channels, it relieves the irritation which causes chronic coughing. This is the main reason why so many balms are based on mint. Unlike the inhalers that are based on aerosols, those with mint as the fundamental component tend to be more effective and eco-friendly as well.
Asthma: Regular use of mint is very beneficial for asthma patients, as it is a good relaxant and relieves congestion. That being said, using too much mint in this way can also irritate the nose and throat.
Nausea & Headaches: Again, the strong and refreshing aroma of mint is a quick and effective remedy for nausea. Even just the smell of mint oil or freshly crushed mint leaves or the use of any product with mint flavor, and your stomach issues will be alleviated. In fact, many people keep menthol oil or mint-flavored products with them at all time to avoid nausea. Balms with a mint base or basic mint oil, when rubbed on the forehead and nose, gives quick relief in case of headache. Mint is a naturally soothing substance, so it can alleviate the inflammation and temperature rise that is often associated with headaches and migraines.
Depression and Fatigue: Mint is a natural stimulant, and the smell alone can be enough to charge your batteries and get your brain functioning on a high level again. If you are feeling sluggish, anxious, depressed, or simply exhausted, mint and its derivative essential oils can help. It can be ingested, applied topically in a salve form, or inhaled as a vapor, and all of those techniques can give you a much-needed boost! A popular way to get good results in an easy manner is to put a few drops of mint essential oil or menthol oil on your pillow at night and let it work on your body and mind while you sleep. []
Naturally, these remedies and uses are great for symptomatic relief and ease in your day. But if you are experiencing chronic conditions, make sure you are talking to your doctor, as there might be a bigger underlying problem that needs attention. For acute complaints, Eurospa’s Eucamint spray works wonders, is able to be used in many ways and is easy to get into your home. Get this for yourself and for your family. Get it today and see the difference!

Travel Tips to Reduce Jet Lag During International Travel

Travel Tips to Reduce Jet Lag During International TravelTraveling is fun. The last thing you need though, is to have your fun interrupted or stolen by jet lag’s grip. None of these tips will promise that you will feel completely rested and (like you’re not traveling) but they will help you to feel more refreshed and ready to enjoy your adventure and relaxation!
Before you fly: No matter when you are departing, it’s important to get good sleep (8-10 hours) the last 2-3 days before you fly. This will help you to accumulate rest for the day you’ll lose it.
During your flight:
Keep hydrated. Keep a water bottle nearby and sip often. If you’re afraid of having too many trips to the bathroom, add a little sea/mineral salt to the water to absorb it better. Seriously, try it!
Eat well. Avoid too much sugar or junk food. This drains the body of energy and causes you to peak and crash. You need maintainable energy. Choose natural snacks for energy like dried and fresh fruit as well as nuts.  When going with the flight food, make sure to avoid the desserts they offer as they tend to be more rich and contain a lot of sugar.
Breathe Deep. Most people breathe through the chest, when it’s important to breathe through your diaphragm. Not sure where you breathe from? Take a deep breath and see if your chest rises or stays neutral. A rising chest indicates you are not breathing from your diaphragm. The body translates this as a stress response and stress is then furthered. For deep relaxation after a long day on set or even during breaks, take some time to breathe correctly, calmly and deeply for anywhere between 1 and 20 minutes, depending on what you have time for. Try to make time for a longer session once you land, for best sleep and better recovery.
Don’t Drink. Air travel is very dehydrating and alcohol only makes it worse. So stick to decaf teas, water and juices during the flight. You’ll also want to avoid alcohol until you’ve had a really good night of sleep. This is because once you’ve had more than 1 alcoholic beverage, your body can’t get the sleep that it needs. Instead of resting and recovering at night, it will spend it’s time healing and processing the toxins. Try to wait until day 2.
Wait to Sleep. If you land and are ready to sleep, do your best to wait. The more you wait to sleep until it’s a normal sleeping time for the region you’re in, the easier your body will acclimate. Then do your best to sleep in until at least 6 am before getting up again.
Refresh and Detox. If you have access to a sauna the day of travel, please use it. Sweating in high heat will help you release built up radiation from the travel and allow you to feel better faster and feel refreshed. For a fast rejuvenator, use a product such as the Eucamint Shower Mist, in the steam of your shower to help boost circulation, detoxification, ease muscle stiffness and increase your ability to focus with energy. Breathe in deep for the big effect.
Those are the best ways to defeat jet lag before it even begins. Don’t let a tired head and body be what holds you back from experiencing your adventure. Let Eurospa make it easier and healthier. Happy travels!

Get the Energy Boost You Need Without Reaching for the Caffeine.

Get the Energy Boost You Need Without Reaching for the Caffeine. We all know that mid afternoon lag that seems to hook us right when we need to finish our work days or make the drive home. What about the common feeling of waking up to your alarm, just to feel like you never slept in the first place? Tiredness can ruin your day, productivity and mood - which is why it’s so normal to reach for a coffee or energy shot at all hours of the day!

But the truth is, consuming too much caffeine can really burn out our adrenals. The adrenal glands regulate our alertness, our sleep cycles and metabolism. If they are burnt out, the domino effect can be very dangerous to the mind and body.

So it's important to have some quick and easy solutions for beating brain fog naturally, without caffeine burning out the adrenals.

Our solution? Eucalyptus oil. Eucalyptus oil has a long list of health benefits, including respiratory health, muscle pain relief, immune system support and of course - an increase of energy!

Aside from mental exhaustion, eucalyptus essential oil is commonly used to stimulate mental activity and increase blood flow to the brain. Since the essential oil is considered a vasodilator by many, it means that it increases the blood flow around the body by relaxing the blood vessels and allowing more blood to circulate. Basically, more blood to the brain means more brain power, and eucalyptus essential oil is commonly employed in classrooms as a form of causal aromatherapy to increase student performance. Further, formal research must be done in this area, but all signs point to the positive correlation between brain function and eucalyptus essential oil.

One way that many people use to get the benefits of eucalyptus oil is to add it to baths, spas and saunas because of its refreshing and antiseptic attributes. Most of the benefits of eucalyptus essential oil can be accessed through the vapor, as well as topical application or ingestion. To keep it simple, we at Eurospa, have created a Eucalyptus Shower Spray for your happy and healthy convenience.

The use of eucalyptus oil in healing practices is increasing in popularity worldwide, because of it's many benefits and uses. It also blends well with many other essential oils including the essential oils of thyme, rosemary, marjoram, lavender, cedarwood, and frankincense.

We know you're tired. You deserve a healthy solution. We've made that for you. If you're ready to enjoy the benefits for yourself, click here. At Eurospa, your health is our priority and we're honored to be a part of it!

Mother's Day Gift Ideas for the Last Minute and Low Budget Shoppers!

Mother's Day Gift Ideas for the Last Minute and Low Budget Shoppers!
Wondering what to do for Mother's Day? Well, if you're a procrastinator or are just stuck for good ideas, I want to share some really good ones you can use even at the last minute! If you don't have all that you need, you might want to give her a photo or hint and deliver later!

Breakfast in Bed.  Now please, with this one, don't wake her up!  Keep it personalized to HER needs.  She may not want pancakes.  She might want fresh juice, a cup of tea and her favorite book!  Absolutely make sure she has a flower or a few sprigs of lavender and rosemary to bring a fresh and relaxing aroma to the morning.

Make an entire day just for her.  She's given years.  So give her a day.  This day should push her out the front day (sans kids) and into the world.  Be generous and stock her wallet with some funds so she can have a pampering adventure meant just for her!

Spoil her with plants. This is a tried and true way to celebrate most women, but you’re going to above and beyond by keeping it easy and fresh! Very popular and loved options right now are varieties of air plants and succulents. They don’t require much and make a beautiful accent wherever they are placed!

Create a digital album of her photos. Odds are, somewhere in your mom’s house there are stacks of faded old photographs or negatives stuffed into envelopes. They might be pictures of her as a child, or her mother, or her mother’s mother, and they deserve to be appreciated once again. Put a smile on your mother’s face by unearthing these family gems and bringing them into the 21st century. Scan and upload a bunch of images, so that there are digital copies of them that can easily be shared and printed.
List the reasons you love her. Among the DIY Mother’s Day gifts suggested by is a decorated mason jar stuffed full of adorable and funny messages about why mom is the greatest. For example: “You give the best hugs,” or “You don’t snore as loud as dad.” The idea is that mom can open up the jar each day or whenever she needs a pick-me-up, and get a reminder about how amazing she is, and how much all of you appreciate her.
Make a home spa basket. Another spoil-her-silly option, this one is a hit. Get a box or a basket and fill it where her favorite ways to relax as well as throwing in some new things. Some ideas could include: a bottle of red wine, some lavender or chamomile tea, bath salts, eucalyptus bath spray, an eye pillow and maybe even a good book!
As you can see, it’s not so hard. So go ahead. Dote on her like never before. Eurospa is proud to honor her with you!
