Tips for Beating Travel Sickness Naturally and Fast!

Tips for Beating Travel Sickness Naturally and Fast!
Eucalyptus oil is a natural cure for travel sickness!
If you travel often, you don’t have time to get nausea or deal with headaches right? You have sights to enjoy, people to see  and places to be! I travel often and I used to get sick with even the slightest movement of the vehicle. But after much trial and error, I learned some simple tricks to hack travel sickness and enjoy my trips after all.

Here they are:
  1. Fresh air: No brainer right? But so few people do it! In a car, roll the window down. In the plane, turn on the fan.
  2. Cold feet. Really. Over heated or sweaty feet adds to the nausea! Remove your shoes and socks to cool off. Take it further and spritz eucalyptus oil spray on the bottom of your feet. This will cool your feet and directly calm your stomach.
  3. Peppermint oil or eucalyptus. Dab a little of either oils behind your ears and this will ease the motion nausea.
  4. Drink a lot of water. Staying hydrated will keep you from feeling heavy or sluggish in your digestive systems. However, don’t overdo it. Take small drinks at a time to not overwhelm your body.
  5. Stay away from alcohol and sugar. Both of those cause stomach upset and dehydration.
  6. Get enough rest. Before, after and during your travel, being fatigued will only worsen your symptoms.
  7. Mint. Mint flavored gum or even a little peppermint oil in water will keep you feeling fresh and on top of your belly!

Simple but effective! Try them on your next trip and let me know how it goes! Want more information on our Eucalyptus Oil Products, contact Eurospa today!

Travel Tips to Reduce Jet Lag During International Travel

Travel Tips to Reduce Jet Lag During International TravelTraveling is fun. The last thing you need though, is to have your fun interrupted or stolen by jet lag’s grip. None of these tips will promise that you will feel completely rested and (like you’re not traveling) but they will help you to feel more refreshed and ready to enjoy your adventure and relaxation!
Before you fly: No matter when you are departing, it’s important to get good sleep (8-10 hours) the last 2-3 days before you fly. This will help you to accumulate rest for the day you’ll lose it.
During your flight:
Keep hydrated. Keep a water bottle nearby and sip often. If you’re afraid of having too many trips to the bathroom, add a little sea/mineral salt to the water to absorb it better. Seriously, try it!
Eat well. Avoid too much sugar or junk food. This drains the body of energy and causes you to peak and crash. You need maintainable energy. Choose natural snacks for energy like dried and fresh fruit as well as nuts.  When going with the flight food, make sure to avoid the desserts they offer as they tend to be more rich and contain a lot of sugar.
Breathe Deep. Most people breathe through the chest, when it’s important to breathe through your diaphragm. Not sure where you breathe from? Take a deep breath and see if your chest rises or stays neutral. A rising chest indicates you are not breathing from your diaphragm. The body translates this as a stress response and stress is then furthered. For deep relaxation after a long day on set or even during breaks, take some time to breathe correctly, calmly and deeply for anywhere between 1 and 20 minutes, depending on what you have time for. Try to make time for a longer session once you land, for best sleep and better recovery.
Don’t Drink. Air travel is very dehydrating and alcohol only makes it worse. So stick to decaf teas, water and juices during the flight. You’ll also want to avoid alcohol until you’ve had a really good night of sleep. This is because once you’ve had more than 1 alcoholic beverage, your body can’t get the sleep that it needs. Instead of resting and recovering at night, it will spend it’s time healing and processing the toxins. Try to wait until day 2.
Wait to Sleep. If you land and are ready to sleep, do your best to wait. The more you wait to sleep until it’s a normal sleeping time for the region you’re in, the easier your body will acclimate. Then do your best to sleep in until at least 6 am before getting up again.
Refresh and Detox. If you have access to a sauna the day of travel, please use it. Sweating in high heat will help you release built up radiation from the travel and allow you to feel better faster and feel refreshed. For a fast rejuvenator, use a product such as the Eucamint Shower Mist, in the steam of your shower to help boost circulation, detoxification, ease muscle stiffness and increase your ability to focus with energy. Breathe in deep for the big effect.
Those are the best ways to defeat jet lag before it even begins. Don’t let a tired head and body be what holds you back from experiencing your adventure. Let Eurospa make it easier and healthier. Happy travels!

Allegria Spa at Park Hyatt in Beaver Creek On Everybody's Top Spa Lists

The Best Spas in America know that Eucalyptus Oil Is A Major Part of the Experience

Over the next few months, this blog is going to take a look at major spas all over the US and even the world.  We will check out what the reviewers are saying and the guests.  We'll bring you descriptions and pictures, plus links to help you further research these facilities.

Some will be major spa resort facilities like today's offering.  Others will be hotel spas, fitness center spas, and even local wellness facilities.  There will be two criteria required to make our list, however.  The spa must have a great steam room.  And that steam room must use Suprema 100% Pure, pharmaceutical grade, Eucalyptus Oil in their steam room.   Without the soothing and healing powers of Eucalyptus oil in the steam room, how could any spa lay claim to greatness at all.

You can now enjoy to luxury of eucalyptus oil in a regular shower, too.  Buy our 8 ounce spray bottle of 100% pure pharmaceutical grade eucalyptus oil for you home shower or steam room.

Spa Finder Describes Allegria Spa at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort as follows:

Beaver Creek is a popular spot with ski-vacationing families. Its slopes total 1,805 acres and include both beginner runs and double black diamonds. Park Hyatt Beaver Creek capitalizes on its close proximity to the slopes with skier- and snowboarder-friendly amenities such as a ski valet who stores and dries guests' equipment as they come off the lift. Guests seeking even more excitement can take a shuttle to Vail, just eight miles away, where additional world-class slopes and Rocky Mountain family adventure can be found.
Camp Hyatt treats children aged three to 12 to outdoor exploration and creative indoor projects during warmer months. Parents and kids can also enjoy a s'mores "happy hour" every evening around the fire pit. In the summertime, badminton, horseshoes, and volleyball games are among the many varieties of friendly competition available.
The hotel's picturesque setting hosts a wealth of exciting outdoor activities in all weather. Beaver Creek features warm-weather sporting facilities (including a tennis center and a golf club), stables for horseback riding, hiking/rock climbing, and easy access to fly fishing in the Colorado, Eagle, or Roaring Fork rivers. Complimentary fly-fishing clinics are held at the hotel every morning. Besides downhill and cross-country skiing, guests can take advantage of tobogganing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling on the mountains as well as ice skating at a rink adjacent to the property

Online reviews would support this description.  After visiting several online review sites, I found that the ratings ranged from 4 stars to perfect 5 stars.  Prevention Magazine calls it one of the top 50 eco spas in the US.  Forbes Travel Guide has Alegria Spa as a Star Award Winner in 2011 and 2013.  Spawards lists the spa among top 100 for 2012.
