Helpful Tips for People Suffering from Chronic Fatigue Headaches!

Chronic fatigue is no laughing matter and it’s quite common in America. You try to sleep and get the rest you need, but in the morning you wake up exhausted, with tight muscles and a tension headache to go with it.  While chronic fatigue is a complex issue, we at Eurospa do have some helpful tips for you who suffer from it, so you can at least reduce and relieve some of the most common pain; the headache.

  • Food: Some foods are going to aggravate your condition. Some of the most common ones will be those that cause inflammation, such as processed sugar, white grains, coffee and dairy. Reduce these and you’ll not only sleep better, but be able to have less tension in your muscles.
  • Hydrate:  Try to Drink 2-3 liters a day. Your brain cells and blood need to be hydrated properly for everything to work smoothly.  Dehydration in the muscles cause tightening, which leads to headaches in the neck and forehead.
  • Sleep:  Aim to get 7-9 hours each night. Be sure that you have a relaxation routine before bed, without media, to help you get pure and restful sleep. Power naps are also very helpful just after lunch, to get you through the day with less pain.
  • Massage:  Gently Massage your middle and index finger along the back of your neck and in small circles at the temples and between the eyebrows.
  • Relax:  We are an over scheduled society that tends to worry about the smallest details in life.  Make time to pause in your day and breathe deeply, bringing as much oxygen to your cells and muscle fibers as possible.
  • Take Screen Breaks: Staring at the computer, your phone or TV forces your eyes to not only stare in one place for an extended amount of time, but the screen itself can cause eye strain. Take 2 minute breaks every 30 minutes to close your eyes as well as find different locations around the room to focus on, to keep the muscles of your eyes mobile.
  • Eucalyptus:  Applying eucalyptus oil to your forehead can be incredibly soothing for stress headaches in the same manner as peppermint oil. (see below) Like peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil can soothe, relax muscles and clear nasal passages.  It's great to inhale as well, because it has anti microbial properties that can help attack germs and viruses that may be causing the headache. Either put a few drops of eucalyptus oil into a bowl of steaming water and inhale deeply or take advantage of our Eucalyptus Oil Shower Spray, while enjoy a nice shower or bath
It’s tiring having to deal with the regular pain and exhaustion of chronic fatigue, but there are definitely ways to lessen the torture and find relief. For more information or to order high quality eucalyptus and menthol products, head over to Eurospa!

How to Protect and Moisturize Dry Skin During Fickle Weather!

How to Protect and Moisturize Dry Skin During Fickle Weather! The sun is shining, wind blowing and the weather is warming up and you’re skin is cracked and thirsty. Not the most complimenting look to your cute new spring outfit, right? Well worry not your dry soul, we at Eurospa have some incredibly useful tips to help you not only moisturize but protect your skin during this crazy changing weather!

Having a dry skin means experiencing tightness due to lack of moisture and a need for a proper lubricant to rehydrate it. Many home remedies can help improve your dry flaky skin on face.

First, Exfoliate
In order to really moisturize your skin, you’ve got to get the layer of dead skin cells out of the way; and believe me, we all have them. There are a few ways to do this.
  1. Dry brush. This is a good practice for the whole body and also flushes your lymph nodes so gives a double bonus!
  2. Equal parts lemon juice and sugar. This leaves your skin soft and glowing. With a circular massage of the skin with this beauty scrub, rough spots on the skin become even. However, sugar is more abrasive and it’s best to avoid the face when using the sugar option. So for the face, you’ll want to sub baking soda for the sugar; the granules are finer and will be more gentle, but still avoid the eye area. The vitamins C in the lemons is a good astringent that lightens the skin tone, removes patches on the skin and encourages cell growth. Mix a teaspoon of sugar and mix it with juice of half a lemon, use cotton balls to scrub all over the face. Put a jar of it on your nightstand and apply it regularly.
  3. Use a peel. We prefer natural brands to chemical formulations, but a natural peel will use the same concept as the vitamin C mentioned above, but with stronger formulations and relies on the fruit acids for exfoliation rather than friction.

After That, Add Water.
Whether you want to use a humidifier or steam, you’ll want to infuse your freshly exfoliated skin with good old H2O. Regardless of what you choose, you can enhance the benefits by adding a few sprays of our eucalyptus oil shower spray to either the humidifier or whatever steam source you are using. If you opt for steam, at quick at home method is to heat water in a pot on the stop, and place a towel over your head with your face near the pot for the diy spa effect. Just spray the eucalyptus once into the pot!

Lastly, Lubricate.
Moisture forms a protective layer on the skin keeping it safe by keeping it hydrated. Oils that are easily absorbed by the skin, such as coconut, jojoba and almond, tend to be better at keeping the real moisture in, allowing the skin the best nourishment possible. Coconut oil makes the skin feel softer and removes its previous scaly characteristic by moistening it in a natural way. Coconut oil has sufficient amounts of fatty acid that make up for any loss of moisture from the skin. It works best when left on for an entire night. Apply proper amount before going to sleep and wash it off in the morning; do this every night.Over the counter creams work well in the beginning but only leave a surface layer of hydration.

How to Use Eucalyptus Oil for Better Health and A Stronger Immune System

How to Use Eucalyptus Oil for Better Health and A Stronger Immune SystemAs cold season continues, it’s even more important to take care of our health and immune system. We hate being laid out, missing school and work and we aren’t alone. But lucky for all of us, there is a power plant that helps keep us strong, protected and cleansed to beat the colds that come our way; eucalyptus. And we want to show you some of the best ways to use it for the better health, a boosted immune system and so much more!

Colds & Flu

Eucalyptus works as an expectorant and helps to cleanse your body of toxins and harmful microorganisms that can make you feel sick. One of the most effective ways to utilize eucalyptus for colds is add several pumps of eucalyptus oil spray into your diffuser before going to sleep so you can take advantage of the healing benefits all night long.
For more acute situations, you can make an at-home steam bath by pouring a cup of boiling water into a bowl, and then spraying 2 sprays of eucalyptus mist, place a towel over your head and inhale deeply for five–10 minutes.
Odor Remover
Whether you’re battling smelly shoes or a stinky dog bed, topically wash items to remove odors with a wet rag, spray on the area with eucalyptus mist and then place outside to dry in the sun. This will prevent odors as well as kill the bacteria and keep it from spreading.
Air Cleanser
Try spraying eucalyptus into your vacuum and clothes dryer filters to freshen them up and sanitize them a little. Also, it’s great for killing mold in your home, and you can mix eucalyptus with other oils like clove and tea tree oil to cleanse the air and maintain a mold-free home.

Respiratory Problems

Eucalyptus essential oil is highly effective for treating respiratory problems, such as asthma, bronchitis, COPD, pneumonia and even tuberculosis. Using eucalyptus for asthma is a proven treatment that dilates the blood vessels and allows more oxygen into the lungs. Simply spray into the shower steam or bath area for a steam version of the ever popular vapor rub remedy!
Hair Nourishment
A few sprays of eucalyptus oil mist into some coconut or olive oil and then massaged in gives your hair a nice moisturizing pick-me-up. This is especially great to ward off dandruff and an itchy scalp. Also, eucalyptus is used as a natural remedy for lice in replacement of chemical treatments.
As you can see, eucalyptus has super strengths that go above and beyond when it comes to the support and nourishment of the body’s systems. For more information or to get your own, visit us at Eurospa today!

  2. Apple Cider Vinegar. Similar to the above drink but a stronger flavor, add 2 tbsp of the vinegar to about 8 oz of water. Sweeten as needed. It doesn’t taste as good, but it’s very efficient at killing bacteria and viruses while supporting your body’s fast healing.

In addition to the relief it provides, other benefits of eucalyptus include:

Natural Ways to Beat Afternoon Tiredness Without the Side Effects

Natural Ways to Beat Afternoon Tiredness Without the Side Effects
Nothing’s worse than mental fog and fatigue but we all seem to battle it. You know the feeling that shows up every day, mid afternoon? If you reach for a coffee or soda, you’re only going to make it worse. The sugar and caffeine will help momentarily but keep the fatigue showing up for days, months and years to come, as they burn out your adrenals.

Don’t want to burn out your adrenals? Great. Here are some natural ways to beat afternoon tiredness, without the side effects.

Oxygen to the brain
Find a quiet place in your home or workplace that's free from distraction, but not your bed.  Turn on some relaxing music, read or just sit in the stillness. Take one, then two, then ten deep breaths.   This is your opportunity to oxygenate your blood cells and brain, for better functioning and increased energy!

Change it up
Sometimes doing the same repetitious actions make us tired. So change it up. Take a break to move your body, read a book, listen to music, and just live a little. What are the hobbies that make you come alive? How can you incorporate those things into those more sluggish hours?

Get Active
If you can go for a run or stop by the gym first thing in the morning, great!  If not, make a plan to implement a small routine into your morning so you at least set a pattern and habit to care for your mind and body which will in turn, not only set up your day with energy but also the rest of your life.

Take an energy shower
Turn up the heat and let your muscles both relax and rejuvenate! Add menthol crystals to the shower steam as well to further awaken and even reap the health benefits!  Menthol crystals open up your bronchial passage ways, allowing you do breathe deeper  and get more oxygen to your brain. More oxygen to the brain means more clarity and mental peace.  These crystals will add a great vibrancy to your day!

Fuel your body
Take time to eat a balanced meal, you are giving your body the fuel it needs for everything else and remember to drink plenty of water. Chinese medicine states that the morning meal is the fuel your body pulls from most, the rest of the day so be sure to get preventative and eat well at the start of the day.
Your health is our goal at Eurospa.  Let us know how we can make life better for you.
