Protect Your Skin From Damage and Burns With these Easy Tips.

The temperature has been rising steadily and it’s easy to forget to care for our skin. Since your skin is the biggest organ on your body and the one that gives your age away - it’s wise to protect it. So we are going to share some easy tips to caring for your skin if it does get burned and how to avoid the burn all together.

Protect Your Skin From Damage and Burns With these Easy Tips.

Take good care of your skin.  Spray the burn with diluted lavender oil.  Or, grab our own Eucalyptus Oil Shower Mist .If you choose to go with the lavender, just mix a few drops to a cup of water and pour into a clean spray bottle. Shake well before using. Both lavender and eucalyptus are good for mild (first-degree) burns of any kind.

Treat often… Repeat the above steps.  Before you go to bed and once you get up in the morning, shower again. It will not only feel soothing, but it will steal the heat from the skin, speeding the healing along. Make sure you do another spray down session with your Lavender or Eucalyptus Spray before you go to bed, to really make sure those oils can use the night to penetrate into your skin.

Stay hydrated...Try to moisturize as often as possible each day after you get that blessed sunburn and drink plenty of water. I'm not kidding.  DRINK A LOT OF WATER.  I can't stress that enough. Sunburns dry out the skin immensely. Staying hydrated on the inside and out will keep your many skin layers from dying and peeling.  And we don't want peely skin! We want supple, moist and glowing skin!!

Become a shade dweller. As long as you have that burn, stay in the shade.  You will only prolong and aggravate the healing process by exposing your skin to more sun.  So stay cool, covered and moisturized!

Wear loose clothing… Your skin is particularly sensitive right now and the nicest thing you can do for it is to wear loose fitting natural fabrics.  Just say NO to poly blends!  Cotton and hemp fabrics are breathable and soft on the healing skin.  If you want to heal fast, you've got to baby the skin and treat it as gently as possible.

Lastly … To keep that youthful glow, stay hydrated, moisturize often and use the essential oil routine regularly. These daily practices will keep nourishing your skin and will continue to protected from normal environmental harm.

We love your health and want you to feel good.  That's why we at Eurospa do what we do. So let us know what we can do for you!

How to Heal Face Blemishes Naturally at Home Without Chemicals!

Having a Breakout? Don't Stress! Here's How to Heal Face Blemishes Naturally at Home Without Chemicals!Nobody likes to wake up and discover a blemish (or field of blemishes) on their face. And when the unsightly curse does occur, you need a way to get rid of it FAST.

Below, we are going to leave you with our favorite tips on how to heal face blemishes naturally from home, but without all the harsh and toxic chemicals.

Topical treatments
  • Tea tree oil. Gels containing 5 percent tea tree oil may be as effective as are lotions containing 5 percent benzoyl peroxide, although tea tree oil might work more slowly. Tea tree oil may cause a skin reaction known as contact dermatitis. There's also some concern that topical products containing tea tree oil might cause breast development in young boys. Don't use tea tree oil if you have acne rosacea because it can worsen symptoms.
  • Alpha hydroxy acids. To put it plainly; lemons and other citrus foods help remove dead skin cells and unclog pores when applied topically. Simply get a used lemon and gently rub what's left on your face and let the alpha hydroxy acids go to work. Alpha hydroxy acids may also improve the appearance of acne scars. They can also cause redness, mild stinging and skin irritation.
  • Hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide kills bacteria due to its oxygen molecules-- the oxygen creates oxidation, which breaks down harmful bacteria. Just cleanse well and rest a cotton ball of H2O2 on the pimple first thing in the morning and before you go to bed.
Having a Breakout? Don't Stress! Here's How to Heal Face Blemishes Naturally at Home Without Chemicals!
  • Eucalyptus oil. Because of it's antibacterial and analgesic properties, this essential oil is - essential to keeping your skin healthy. The best way is not to put it directly on the blemish, as it's too potent. Rather, spritz some eucalyptus oil shower spray into the steam of your shower or into a steaming pot for your face!  An added benefit is the cleansing your sinuses and respiratory system will experience.
Oral treatments
  • Zinc supplements. Zinc plays a role in wound healing and reduces inflammation, which could help improve acne. Taking a zinc supplement with food may reduce side effects, including a bad taste in your mouth and nausea. Zinc can also be added to lotions or creams and may reduce acne breakouts.
  • Brewer's yeast. A specific strain of brewer's yeast, called CBS 5926, seems to help decrease acne. Brewer's yeast may cause migraines in susceptible people and may cause intestinal upset.
  • Lemon cayenne tea. Get 1/2 a lemon and squeeze the juice into a mug of warm or hot water. Add 1/2 tsp of cayenne and sweeteners such as honey, agave or stevia to bring your tea to a balance of sweet, sour and spicy. This will work your circulatory system and further your detoxification from the inside out.
  • Probiotics.  Invest in an internal probiotic supplement. Every gut needs a healthy balance of bacterias and most people are lacking in the beneficial bacteria.  A healthy gut leads to healthy skin!

Love Your Skin! Natural Anti-Aging Sun Burn Relief You Can Do From Home!

Love Your Skin! Natural Anti-Aging Sun Burn Relief You Can Do From Home! The summer sun has been strong this year with it's most intense rays happening at the

end! It's important not to get lazy and make sure we are continuing to take care of our skin to ensure we are protected from harmful melanoma and also the fine lines, spots and premature aging that happen as well! I don't think I need to spend too much time on sunscreen, because by now, we all know that we need to properly defend our skin from the strong rays of the sun. But I do want to remind you to sunscreen your face even when you won't be in the sun.  The skin on the face is like a sun magnet and shows the most damage.  Protect.

In the case that you still end up with a burn, here are some ways to not only heal that sunburn fast and naturally at home, but also soothe, heal and hydrate the skin on deeper levels, leaving more protection for the future.

Natural Anti-Aging Sun Burn Relief You Can Do From Home!

KEEP COOL
Cool your sunburned skin immediately. Dip into a very cool bath, shower or even splash cool water on affected skin, right after you come in out of the sun. Cooling the burn minimizes damage to skin layers.

TREAT IT WELL

Love Your Skin! Natural Anti-Aging Sun Burn Relief You Can Do From Home!Spray the burn with diluted lavender oil.  Or, grab our own Eucalyptus Oil Shower Mist .If you choose to go with the lavender, just mix a few drops to a cup of water and pour into a clean spray bottle. Shake well before using. Both lavender and eucalyptus are good for mild (first-degree) burns of any kind.

HANG LOOSE
Your skin is particularly sensitive right now and the nicest thing you can do for it is to wear loose fitting natural fabrics.  Just say NO to poly blends!  Cotton and hemp fabrics are breathable and soft on the healing skin.  If you want to heal fast, you've got to baby the skin and treat it as gently as possible.

RINSE AND REPEAT
Repeat the above steps.

HYDRATE OFTEN
Try to moisturize as often as possible each day after you get that blessed sunburn and drink plenty of water.

BE SHADY
As long as you have that burn, stay in the shade.  You will only prolong and aggravate the healing process by exposing your skin to more sun.  So stay cool, covered and moisturized!

I hope those tips were helpful.   For further aiding in healing, feel free to add some vitamin E to your daily regimen and foods like apricots and cucumbers, which are high in E and silica - great for skin!  To keep your youthful glow, keep up the hydrate, moisturize and essential oil routine. These daily practices will keep nourishing your skin and will continue to protected from normal environmental harm.

Skin Breakouts? Natural Remedies for Healthy Skin You Can Do at Home

skin blemishes can surprise you and feel ugly, but these natural remedies from eurospa will keep you healthy and beautiful
Nobody likes it when they take a look in the mirror and notice the surprise of a breakout.  It's always untimely and pretty embarrassing!  Now, while I can't promise you they'll go away immediately, I can share with you some ways to speed along the process and hopefully prevent them from happening in the future!

First of all, our skin is our largest organ. It breathes.  It takes in and it releases.  It's a filtration system for both the external and internal.  When we break out, our bodies are telling us that something on the outside or inside in NOT happy and it's time we do something about it.

So you're thinking, topical medication right? No.  Because that doesn't fix the problem and ultimately you're just going to teach your body to be quiet when there's a problem in the future and we just don't want that.

Preventative?  Be clean inside and out.  Ladies, if you go to bed with your makeup on you're just asking for trouble. Our bodies go through so much when we sleep.  Our hormones shift, we sweat, our pores open and all the makeup and skin oils mix together in the folds and pores of our skin, basically suffocating it and causing it to get stuck (for now) and expelled later.  It's the expelling part that we irritated about! Back to being clean?  Be clean on the inside - and the best way to do this daily is getting a good water intake- at least 60 ounces a day. Water flushes out the garbage we store inside with refined foods, sugar, alcohol, excess salt and preservatives.  So hey - make it easier and DON'T consume so much garbage.  You're skin will thank you.

Solution to the NOW problem?

1.  Go SANS makeup.  I know, hard.  If you're feeling to attached, then go with some eyeliner and mascara with some gloss.  But leave your skin ALONE.
2.  Sweat it out.  Get to a sauna or make a steam shower/bath and sweat that nasty stuff out.  Enhance the sweat by spraying Eucalyptus Oil Shower Mist into the steam.  It's anti-microbial and will cleanse your body (inside and out) even deeper!
3.  Gently Exfoliate.  I love to use baking soda because it's natural and cheap.  Just shake a few sprinkles of it into your hands and massage in small, gentle circles around your face, being careful to avoid the area and be extra nice to those open blemishes.
4.  Tone it up.  Top choice for me is witch hazel.  It's anti-inflammatory and regulates your skin's ph.  Add anti-microbial tea tree oil to the mix as well to further your cleanse.
5.  Moisturize.  My top two choices are (in order) Jojoba Oil and Coconut Oil. Jojoba is the oil that's closest to our skin's ph and is readily absorbed.  Coconut is similar, but heavier.  So if your skin tends toward oily, go with jojoba.

So there you have it!  No miracle cures here, but stick to the 'clean inside and out' routine and I promise you will begin to see the difference! Eurospa is committed to your health and would love to hear from you.  Stop by and let us know how we can make your life a healthier one!
