Aging Too Quickly? Get Some Glow Back in a Week With These Tips!!

Aging Too Quickly? Get Some Glow Back in a Week With These Tips!!
You don't have to just accept your tired eyes. Rejuvenate them naturally!
It’s hard to wake up in the morning and see signs of aging and tiredness all over the face. As a society, we move too fast, eat too little nutrients, are overworked, underslept and dehydrated. Our faces and skin show it. But it can be dealt with and treated with these simple tricks and tips.

Lemon Water Cleanse: On a more practical note, try starting your day with a hot cup of lemon water.  Simply make hot water as you would for tea, add the juice of 1/2 a lemon and sweeten with honey or stevia to taste if needed.  This cleanses your digestive system, detoxifies the skin and blood, jump starts your energy and metabolism and neutralizes your body ph to a more alkaline level.  Disease and instability of health thrive in an acidic body. The opposite of that is an alkaline body.  Be healthy. Start your day alkaline. (side note: remember how lemon water cleanses the digestive system? the kidneys are part of that.  You know those bags and dark circles under your eyes?  Those are from overwhelmed kidneys.)

Face Massage: About those overwhelmed kidneys and their corresponding eye bags.  When the kidneys and even liver are over taxed, the lymph in the eyes begin to back up. Basically, the bags are just toxic congestion that needs to move through and out of your system. So if you're ready to get rid of them, definitely drink the lemon water and THEN do this exercise.
  • Close your eyes.  Place your first four fingers (not the thumb) under the eye and gently apply pressure with your finger-tips along and under the eye/eye bag area.
  • take your middle fingers and gently sweep the same area from the inside to the outer corner underneath the eye - be careful not to stretch the skin.
  • Repeat this action 5-10 times when applying moisturizer morning and night. this will aid in keeping the area flushed.

Steam With Eucalyptus: Eucalyptus Shower Spray is a great addition to any anti-aging routine.  Simply turn up the steam in the shower and spray the eucalyptus onto the walls and into the steam. This will allow the pores in the face to open and activate the anti-microbial cleansing properties of this healing plant. As well, inhaling the the steam will invite the herbal strength to cleanse your bronchial passages, allowing for a full body cleanse that will reflect in your skin.

Drink Your Green Juice: There's a lot of hype about green juice these days and it's for good reason!  Greens, similar to lemon water, alkalize the water, making the body a fertile ground for beauty to grow.  Greens tone the skin and blood, adding multiple vitamins, minerals and nutrients like silica, collagen, elastin and vitamin k to your insides and outsides.  This results in eyes that are brighter, skin that is tighter and cheeks that have that natural rosy hue. Who doesn't want that? (don't be too afraid - there are PLENTY of delicious recipes online for incredibly tasting juice!)

Now that you know how to turn back time in the healthiest ways possible, it's time to get on your way putting them into practice.  At Eurospa, your health is our focus. If there's something we can do for you, please let us know!

Learn About the Powerful Health Benefits of Mint for Overall Health and Vitality!

Learn About the Powerful Health Benefits of Mint for Overall Health and Vitality! We lead busy lives and often times, common little (and big) ailments get in the way. You know the ones: headaches, fatigue, back pain, muscle stiffness, indigestion …. And that’s just the beginning. What’s amazing is that mint is a magical plant that has highly therapeutic benefits that both relieve the symptoms of these common ailments as well provide a more strengthened immune system.
When you combine mint with eucalyptus, the benefits go through the roof!
Here are some examples:

Respiratory Disorders and Coughs: The strong aroma of mint is very effective in clearing up congestion of the nose, throat, bronchi and lungs, which gives relief for respiratory disorders that often result from asthma and the common cold. As mint cools and soothes the throat, nose and other respiratory channels, it relieves the irritation which causes chronic coughing. This is the main reason why so many balms are based on mint. Unlike the inhalers that are based on aerosols, those with mint as the fundamental component tend to be more effective and eco-friendly as well.
Asthma: Regular use of mint is very beneficial for asthma patients, as it is a good relaxant and relieves congestion. That being said, using too much mint in this way can also irritate the nose and throat.
Nausea & Headaches: Again, the strong and refreshing aroma of mint is a quick and effective remedy for nausea. Even just the smell of mint oil or freshly crushed mint leaves or the use of any product with mint flavor, and your stomach issues will be alleviated. In fact, many people keep menthol oil or mint-flavored products with them at all time to avoid nausea. Balms with a mint base or basic mint oil, when rubbed on the forehead and nose, gives quick relief in case of headache. Mint is a naturally soothing substance, so it can alleviate the inflammation and temperature rise that is often associated with headaches and migraines.
Depression and Fatigue: Mint is a natural stimulant, and the smell alone can be enough to charge your batteries and get your brain functioning on a high level again. If you are feeling sluggish, anxious, depressed, or simply exhausted, mint and its derivative essential oils can help. It can be ingested, applied topically in a salve form, or inhaled as a vapor, and all of those techniques can give you a much-needed boost! A popular way to get good results in an easy manner is to put a few drops of mint essential oil or menthol oil on your pillow at night and let it work on your body and mind while you sleep. Naturally, these remedies and uses are great for symptomatic relief and ease in your day. Protect Your Skin From Damage and Burns With these Easy Tips.

The temperature has been rising steadily and it’s easy to forget to care for our skin. Since your skin is the biggest organ on your body and the one that gives your age away - it’s wise to protect it. So we are going to share some easy tips to caring for your skin if it does get burned and how to avoid the burn all together.

Protect Your Skin From Damage and Burns With these Easy Tips.

Take good care of your skin.  Spray the burn with diluted lavender oil.  Or, grab our own Eucalyptus Oil Shower Mist .If you choose to go with the lavender, just mix a few drops to a cup of water and pour into a clean spray bottle. Shake well before using. Both lavender and eucalyptus are good for mild (first-degree) burns of any kind.

Treat often… Repeat the above steps.  Before you go to bed and once you get up in the morning, shower again. It will not only feel soothing, but it will steal the heat from the skin, speeding the healing along. Make sure you do another spray down session with your Lavender or Eucalyptus Spray before you go to bed, to really make sure those oils can use the night to penetrate into your skin.

Stay hydrated...Try to moisturize as often as possible each day after you get that blessed sunburn and drink plenty of water. I'm not kidding.  DRINK A LOT OF WATER.  I can't stress that enough. Sunburns dry out the skin immensely. Staying hydrated on the inside and out will keep your many skin layers from dying and peeling.  And we don't want peely skin! We want supple, moist and glowing skin!!

Become a shade dweller. As long as you have that burn, stay in the shade.  You will only prolong and aggravate the healing process by exposing your skin to more sun.  So stay cool, covered and moisturized!

Wear loose clothing… Your skin is particularly sensitive right now and the nicest thing you can do for it is to wear loose fitting natural fabrics.  Just say NO to poly blends!  Cotton and hemp fabrics are breathable and soft on the healing skin.  If you want to heal fast, you've got to baby the skin and treat it as gently as possible.

Lastly … To keep that youthful glow, stay hydrated, moisturize often and use the essential oil routine regularly. These daily practices will keep nourishing your skin and will continue to protected from normal environmental harm.

We love your health and want you to feel good.  That's why we at Eurospa do what we do. So let us know what we can do for you!

How to Protect and Moisturize Dry Skin During Fickle Weather!

How to Protect and Moisturize Dry Skin During Fickle Weather! The sun is shining, wind blowing and the weather is warming up and you’re skin is cracked and thirsty. Not the most complimenting look to your cute new spring outfit, right? Well worry not your dry soul, we at Eurospa have some incredibly useful tips to help you not only moisturize but protect your skin during this crazy changing weather!

Having a dry skin means experiencing tightness due to lack of moisture and a need for a proper lubricant to rehydrate it. Many home remedies can help improve your dry flaky skin on face.

First, Exfoliate
In order to really moisturize your skin, you’ve got to get the layer of dead skin cells out of the way; and believe me, we all have them. There are a few ways to do this.
  1. Dry brush. This is a good practice for the whole body and also flushes your lymph nodes so gives a double bonus!
  2. Equal parts lemon juice and sugar. This leaves your skin soft and glowing. With a circular massage of the skin with this beauty scrub, rough spots on the skin become even. However, sugar is more abrasive and it’s best to avoid the face when using the sugar option. So for the face, you’ll want to sub baking soda for the sugar; the granules are finer and will be more gentle, but still avoid the eye area. The vitamins C in the lemons is a good astringent that lightens the skin tone, removes patches on the skin and encourages cell growth. Mix a teaspoon of sugar and mix it with juice of half a lemon, use cotton balls to scrub all over the face. Put a jar of it on your nightstand and apply it regularly.
  3. Use a peel. We prefer natural brands to chemical formulations, but a natural peel will use the same concept as the vitamin C mentioned above, but with stronger formulations and relies on the fruit acids for exfoliation rather than friction.

After That, Add Water.
Whether you want to use a humidifier or steam, you’ll want to infuse your freshly exfoliated skin with good old H2O. Regardless of what you choose, you can enhance the benefits by adding a few sprays of our eucalyptus oil shower spray to either the humidifier or whatever steam source you are using. If you opt for steam, at quick at home method is to heat water in a pot on the stop, and place a towel over your head with your face near the pot for the diy spa effect. Just spray the eucalyptus once into the pot!

Lastly, Lubricate.
Moisture forms a protective layer on the skin keeping it safe by keeping it hydrated. Oils that are easily absorbed by the skin, such as coconut, jojoba and almond, tend to be better at keeping the real moisture in, allowing the skin the best nourishment possible. Coconut oil makes the skin feel softer and removes its previous scaly characteristic by moistening it in a natural way. Coconut oil has sufficient amounts of fatty acid that make up for any loss of moisture from the skin. It works best when left on for an entire night. Apply proper amount before going to sleep and wash it off in the morning; do this every night.Over the counter creams work well in the beginning but only leave a surface layer of hydration.

Eurospa is dedicated to your health and we can't wait to hear how these remedies help you!
