Here’s the Secret to Naturally Healthy, Vibrant Hair!

Here’s the Secret to Naturally Healthy, Vibrant Hair!Whether you’ve suffered a bad cut or are just ready to have more flowing locks, it’s common to want long healthy hair as fast as possible! While there are no guaranteed paths to hair perfection, there are some tried and true home remedies that help move the job along. Keep in mind that if your hair is breaking, thinning or growing slower than average, other factors may be contributing to the process such as the weather, your age, what foods you eat, living habits and general overall health.
That being said, there are still many natural ways to hurry along hair growth that are easy and great for your health!

Use a mask: A lot of people believe that this tip concerning how to make your hair grow faster doesn't work well, but egg whites have been known for their healing properties and their ability to replenish hair and restore its softness and shine! Just crack open a few eggs, strain out the yolks, and make an egg white mask for your hair. Your hair will look ten times healthier instantly and will feel a lot stronger as well -- which, ultimately, will allow your hair to grow faster!

Eat and drink well: Eat a diet high in Omega 3, 6 and 9 nutrients for not only healthy hair but also for better brain function, healthy bones and ligaments. This means your joints, your mind, teeth and nails benefit too! Find omegas in flax seed, salmon and in supplement form at any natural grocer. Water helps the body to process and flush out toxins faster, which makes it a quick and easy natural method that will make your hair grow a lot faster. If you drink about 8 cups of water a day, not only will your body feel better, but your hair will get stronger. The stronger the hair, the faster that it grows. Drinking water also keeps your hair hydrated from the inside out. Hydrated hair is happy hair because, when dry, your hair is much more likely to break.

Stay away from heat! Try to stay away from blow dryers and heated tools, as they burn the hair. If you MUST use them, be sure to use a heat protecting spray or cream first, before styling. Keep in mind that the sun damages hair as well. In warm weather, or intense sunlight (even in the snow) keep a hat on to protect your hair from over drying and burning. Like pulling it back? Spend the next 2 months with your hair tied back to give it a damage break!

Boost circulation: Get into a sauna, steam room or even your shower, one to two times a week and spray eucalyptus oil shower spray near your head, about arms length away; never onto the head directly. The circulation promoting plant oils will penetrate through your open pores, waking up the follicles. Add to this a gentle scalp massage and you'll have one happy head!

Of course, in addition to all this, be sure to get your hair trimmed regularly so it has a chance to grow and be healthy without putting its energy into dead pieces. And of course, use only the best products along the way, including the use of essential oils.

Eurospa is dedicated to your health inside and out. And health is definitely beautiful! We specialize in Eucalyptus products for both home spa and commercial use. Contact us today to see what we can do for you!

The Best Way to Kick Your Migraine Naturally and Fast

The Best Way to Kick Your Migraine Naturally and FastThere’s nothing worse than feeling a migraine creep in. Whether you feel it in your eyes, your neck or all over, you know you’re in for a rough day. But before you reach for a whole bottle of pain pills, I want to tell you something important.

Most commonly, headaches migraines are triggered or exacerbated by stress of the emotions or body, making relaxation an important part of headache treatment. So when the pain hits, ask yourself what might be causing your stress and ask if there’s something small or big you can do to eliminate it at least for the day.

Usually, when we are stressed, our muscles tighten, causing our nerves to spasm. And the most common areas that this happens is  at the temples, all around the base of the skull, around the ears and under the jaw. So get in a relaxed seated position and feel what area feels the tightest and gently stretch and massage those areas. Do make sure to focus some good attention to the joint of your jaw; massage downward as you open and close your mouth. Then be sure to hook your finger just under the edges of your jaw and apply pressure. Does it feel tight and sore? Apply the pressure (not too hard) until you feel it’s beginning to relax and then move to the next spot. From the jaw, rub your fingers downward along the front/sides of your neck, all the way down to the collar bone. Rub along the top and bottom of your collar bone as well. When you picture all of this, you see how interconnected all the muscles are. In our daily lives we spend so much time at computers and on our phones that our muscles tighten in those positions. Add stress and muscle tightening to the equation and you end up with the dreaded migraine.

Now do the stretches and massage and take it further by adding heat and aromatherapy. For many generations, aromatherapy has been used to relieve stress and pain for pain, and is quite safe, provided you use them as directed.

Eucalyptus
The most efficient solution is Eucalyptus. The leaves and oil of the eucalyptus tree are used for many medical purposes. Eucalyptus oil is said to help reduce swelling, increase circulation, clear nasal congestion, and relieve pain. Full-strength essential oil of eucalyptus should never be taken by mouth or rubbed on the skin. It should be diluted first. (everyday health)

The best way to enjoy the benefits of Eucalyptus for headaches, migraines and muscle tension is through steam - using our eucalyptus oil shower spray in both a shower or steam room. You'll quickly feel the pressure lighten and your body relax. Try the massage I told you about, while in the shower or steam room and see how quickly you find relief!

Other oils that can provide headache relief are Lavender, Rosemary and Peppermint. Here’s a little information on each of those.

Lavender
Lavender oil comes from the plant’s blue-violet flowers. Some small research studies suggest that lavender oil has a calming effect when its scent is inhaled. It may also help reduce pain — aromatherapists often use it to help treat headache. Just place a few drops of lavender oil into boiling water and inhale the vapors. Lavender oil can also be rubbed into the skin for pain relief. But keep it away from your mouth and eyes — it’s toxic if ingested by a non-therapeutic grade brand.

Rosemary
Rosemary is another essential oil that is frequently used in aromatherapy. Rosemary oil applied to the skin has been used to treat muscle pain and improve circulation, so it makes sense that it could help relieve migraine or headache pain. One study supports the use of rosemary for reducing stress and anxiety. Essential oil of rosemary may be added to base oil and rubbed into the skin. It can also be added to bathwater, but avoid contact with the eyes or any open cuts.

Peppermint
Peppermint is a cross between watermint and spearmint plants, and it grows wild in Europe and North America. Peppermint oil is used in aromatherapy for headache as well as muscle and nerve pain. This essential oil can be inhaled, applied to the skin after being diluted with another oil, or taken by mouth in very small doses. Some pain studies show that peppermint oil used as aromatherapy for headache may allow people to use fewer traditional pain medications.

If you deal with headaches or migraines, we don't envy you. But we do want to provide you with relief. Use the techniques taught to you today and support your health with the highest quality essential oils possible. Visit Eurospa today to learn more about our Eucalyptus based products.

We are in a society where we have to be up early and late and go, go, go in between. Sure you need sleep, we both know that that’s the biggest solution. But in the meantime, you want to wake up, be alert and get going with your day and not feel jittery and gross from prescription drugs or chemical energy boosters. We know, and we have a solution. It’s so simple.

What you need: One bottle of 100% Pure, Eucalyptus Oil Shower Spray from Eurospa Aromatics. That’s all you need.

Need a Serious Pick Me Up But Not Into Energy Drinks? Try This! Here’s what you do with it. All you need to do is rub your hands together. The key is making sure to first spray a couple of shots of the eucalyptus shower spray onto your hands, and then rub them together for a few seconds very rapidly to create heat, energizing the oil. Now just bring the hands to your nose, and breath in.

The first time you do it, don't breath in too deeply. While the first breath can't hurt you, it sure might be a bit overwhelming. Natural Fast Relief to Kick Sudden Nausea and Stomach Upset!

Natural Fast Relief to Kick Sudden Nausea and Stomach Upset! You’re going throughout your day and everything is fine and then suddenly - you have a slight tinge of cramping and nausea hits! Then what? You’re left not knowing if you should get up and move, push past it or nurture it! Well we at Eurospa Aromatics have just the tips you can use to get natural fast relief for that sudden and annoying nausea.

First of all, make sure that it’s not dangerous. If your cramping is severe, localized or accompanied by any other strange or sudden symptoms, please do the right thing and see your doctor. This isn’t an area to play around with and you want to be safe.

But if what you feel is minor cramping and minor nausea, then there are some things you can do. In the case of minor situations, it’s usually due to a block in your intestinal system, a virus, a bacteria or even stress.

In the case of it being a block in your system, (or any of the above reasons for that matter), try a gentle yoga sequence for digestion. This one is very helpful. The key is not to push yourself, but to twist, cleanse, bring in oxygen and move things along.

For a virus or bacteria, it’s about remaining comfortable as you wait it out and help the toxins to leave your body efficiently. One way to do this is to take activated charcoal. Talk to your local supplement specialist, Chinese medicine/Ayurvedic/Natural Medicine Practitioner for amount and frequencies. But the way it works, is that the charcoal attaches to the poison and escorts it out of your body.

As for stress, you’d be surprised at how many stomach issues are related to stress. The key here is to get still and quiet as you breathe deeply, bringing more oxygen and calm to your digestive system and blood. Try to take at least 10 slow, medium to deep breathes, aiming to stay as relaxed as possible.

Thankfully, there’s also a way to bring comfort and relief to your body and symptoms regardless of why they are there. This is through eucalyptus, heat and cooling. Here’s how:

We have formulated a eucalyptus oil shower spray that penetrates the skin and circulate throughout the body in a matter of minutes simply using steam to do so. And if you're suffering from stomach ailments or nausea, this will come as a relief, as you likely can't handle anything orally anyway.

All you have to do, is run a hot bath or shower, and add a few sprays of our shower mist into the actual steam, or even onto the walls of your shower area. The little essential oil molecules with be activated and inhaled by you, quickly easing your pain and discomfort.  So simple and no gross syrups to drink either!

At Eurospa, we have been providing the finest quality of eucalyptus oil products to both homes and spas alike, for over 30 years. This means that you, too, can have the same high quality of eucalyptus oil that the 5-star hotels use right in the comfort of your home. If you're tired of using less than helpful products to feel better and are ready to experience true health and vitality, start with a powerful small step.

Get a bottle of Eucalyptus oil shower spray today. Your whole body will thank you. And in the meantime, try to rest and not stress. Stress will only make symptoms worse. Instead, trust in your body’s ability to do what it needs to do and support it along the way.

School’s Back In Session! Boost Everyone’s Immune System Now!

School’s Back In Session! Boost Everyone’s Immune System Now!School is back in session, germs are everywhere and you need to keep your family protected! Colds follow the germs and no one wants to miss a school day or work day. So be sure to be on top of it all and prevent it from taking over your life, energy and ability to do what needs to be done.
Boosting our immune systems isn’t hard. Just use these tips!
Reduce Sugar
I know it’s hard, but sugar is one of the top ways to compromise your immune system. It’s like a lowering of your defenses and welcoming the attack. So when the sweet tooth hits, reach for alternative sweeteners and save your health!
Healthy Eating
Staying away from sugar isn’t the only thing you can do on the food front. The following foods are extremely beneficial for your overall health and strength of your immune system. Be sure to get a balanced amount of each.

-Fermented foods such as kefir, kimchee, miso, pickles, sauerkraut, etc.
-Raw, organic eggs from free-ranging chickens
-Coconuts and coconut oil
-Locally grown fruits and vegetables
-Mushrooms, especially Reishi, Shiitake, and Maitake, which contain beta glucans (which have immune-enhancing properties)
-Garlic, a potent antimicrobial that kills bacteria, viruses AND fungi
-Herbs and spices with high ORAC scores: Turmeric, oregano, cinnamon, cloves

School Lunches
This is an opportunity to capitalize on! Make sure the kids have the right kind of nutrient packed foods needed to fuel and protect their bodies during the day! Chopped veggies to dip in hummus, sauteed vegetables and brown rice with protein is a great energizing lunch, both for the mind and immune system.

Encourage Water Drinking
Keeping hydrated allows the body to both function efficiently and to flush toxins and bacteria from your system. Water is essential for the optimal function of every system in your body. Keeping kids hydrated isn’t always easy when they’re at school. Send them with water bottles and require them to drink a glass of water before each meal to get into good habits at home. Without enough water, a flower wilts. Our minds and bodies are the same.

Steam Detox
The body loves a chance to release stored toxins in the skin and other organs. For adults, either create a good steaming shower and add our eucalyptus oil shower spray to the mix or do the same in a quality sauna or steam room.  This will also fight bronchial infections, respiratory struggles, growing pains, improve circulation and alleviate pain from fibromyalgia and arthritis. For children, run a bath for them with just one spray onto the tub walls for the same yet lighter effect.

Get Enough Sleep
Our bodies needs time to recover, heal and grow. If there seems to be more homework than time, reevaluate time management and create a more healthy schedule. Waking earlier is better than going to bed later as well. To get the most out of sleep, you need more REM time. To get this, limit eating to no later than 2 hours before bed, unless it’s a protein based, no starch, no sugar snack. Stay away from media, computers and phones at least an hour before bed.

At Eurospa, we are committed to your health and the health of the world around you. Please take close care of your immune system this season and talk to us about our other products available for personal and spa use!

Tips for Beating Travel Sickness Naturally and Fast!

Tips for Beating Travel Sickness Naturally and Fast!
Eucalyptus oil is a natural cure for travel sickness!
If you travel often, you don’t have time to get nausea or deal with headaches right? You have sights to enjoy, people to see  and places to be! I travel often and I used to get sick with even the slightest movement of the vehicle. But after much trial and error, I learned some simple tricks to hack travel sickness and enjoy my trips after all.

Here they are:
  1. Fresh air: No brainer right? But so few people do it! In a car, roll the window down. In the plane, turn on the fan.
  2. Cold feet. Really. Over heated or sweaty feet adds to the nausea! Remove your shoes and socks to cool off. Take it further and spritz eucalyptus oil spray on the bottom of your feet. This will cool your feet and directly calm your stomach.
  3. Peppermint oil or eucalyptus. Dab a little of either oils behind your ears and this will ease the motion nausea.
  4. Drink a lot of water. Staying hydrated will keep you from feeling heavy or sluggish in your digestive systems. However, don’t overdo it. Take small drinks at a time to not overwhelm your body.
  5. Stay away from alcohol and sugar. Both of those cause stomach upset and dehydration.
  6. Get enough rest. Before, after and during your travel, being fatigued will only worsen your symptoms.
  7. Mint. Mint flavored gum or even a little peppermint oil in water will keep you feeling fresh and on top of your belly!

Simple but effective! Try them on your next trip and let me know how it goes! Want more information on our Eucalyptus Oil Products, contact Eurospa today!

Get To Know Eucalyptus Better & Your Health Might Have a New Best Friend

Get To Know Eucalyptus Better & Your Health Might Have a New Best Friend
Essential oils and other forms of plant medicine are getting a lot of attention. They all have various benefits and strengths, but we at Eurospa hold a special place in our hearts for Eucalyptus and won’t rest until we’ve told everyone possible about the reasons we’ve grown so fond of it.
People have said that the eucalyptus tree is one of the most useful trees in the world. Eucalyptus belongs to the same family as tea tree and grows most abundantly in Australia. The word eucalyptus means ‘well-covered’ referring to the little plant cap that covers the flower before it buds. Tall and water-loving, Eucalyptus is one of the fastest growing trees in the world. It grows in damp marshy areas on moist land and clays, most often found in hilly countrysides or moist valleys in deep rich soils.

Here’s a little on the medical history side:
In Australia, it was considered to be a ‘cure-all’ by the Aborigines, there are over 300 species and 700 varieties of eucalyptus. The trees have been used for everything from paper, to mulch, shade, fuel, hardwoods, wind breaking and malaria fighting. Its extensive root system absorbs vast amounts of water.

Eucalyptus oil was in huge demand during World War 1, as it was used to control a meningitis outbreak and for the influenza of 1919. Today the major eucalyptus producing countries include China, Spain, Portugal, South Africa, Russia, and Chile.

With over 50 pounds of plant material needed for one pound of oil, eucalyptus was first distilled in 1788, when Doctors White and Cossiden used its oil in treating problems of the chest. The first works of the antiseptic and bacterial properties of the oil were published in Germany by Doctors Cole and Homeyer. They classified it as being "sudorific, a stimulant anti-catharral and astringent". It was prescribed for all respiratory system conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, coughs, and flu. The original oil introduced to Europe was was called 'Sydney peppermint' and quickly became popular. Traditional household remedies use both the leaves and oils for relief from respiratory ailments, feverish conditions, as well as for skin problems like burns, ulcers, and wounds.

Eucalyptus is one of the most universal and versatile of essential oils. Some of its many properties include analgesic, antiseptic, deodorant, expectorant, and vermifuge (anti-parasitic). Eucalyptus has a predominantly stimulating effect on the nervous system and therefore should assist those suffering from depression and lethargy. Known as a ‘stimulating’ expectorant due to its invigorating action on the mucus membranes, it is widely considered an effective remedy for respiratory ills. Additionally eucalyptus is used to relieve muscular aches and pains, in particular those of a ‘cold’ nature such as rheumatic pains. - Ananda Apothecary

Eucalyptus has been widely used and studied by many cultures over the course of time, and the interest and information is only growing - for good reason, too! We believe that experiencing Eucalyptus on a regular basis is essential for your physical health and total wellness. For more information on our home and spa products, visit us today at Eurospa!

Helpful Tips for People Suffering from Chronic Fatigue Headaches!

Chronic fatigue is no laughing matter and it’s quite common in America. You try to sleep and get the rest you need, but in the morning you wake up exhausted, with tight muscles and a tension headache to go with it.  While chronic fatigue is a complex issue, we at Eurospa do have some helpful tips for you who suffer from it, so you can at least reduce and relieve some of the most common pain; the headache.

  • Food: Some foods are going to aggravate your condition. Some of the most common ones will be those that cause inflammation, such as processed sugar, white grains, coffee and dairy. Reduce these and you’ll not only sleep better, but be able to have less tension in your muscles.
  • Hydrate:  Try to Drink 2-3 liters a day. Your brain cells and blood need to be hydrated properly for everything to work smoothly.  Dehydration in the muscles cause tightening, which leads to headaches in the neck and forehead.
  • Sleep:  Aim to get 7-9 hours each night. Be sure that you have a relaxation routine before bed, without media, to help you get pure and restful sleep. Power naps are also very helpful just after lunch, to get you through the day with less pain.
  • Massage:  Gently Massage your middle and index finger along the back of your neck and in small circles at the temples and between the eyebrows.
  • Relax:  We are an over scheduled society that tends to worry about the smallest details in life.  Make time to pause in your day and breathe deeply, bringing as much oxygen to your cells and muscle fibers as possible.
  • Take Screen Breaks: Staring at the computer, your phone or TV forces your eyes to not only stare in one place for an extended amount of time, but the screen itself can cause eye strain. Take 2 minute breaks every 30 minutes to close your eyes as well as find different locations around the room to focus on, to keep the muscles of your eyes mobile.
  • Eucalyptus:  Applying eucalyptus oil to your forehead can be incredibly soothing for stress headaches in the same manner as peppermint oil. (see below) Like peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil can soothe, relax muscles and clear nasal passages.  It's great to inhale as well, because it has anti microbial properties that can help attack germs and viruses that may be causing the headache. Either put a few drops of eucalyptus oil into a bowl of steaming water and inhale deeply or take advantage of our Eucalyptus Oil Shower Spray, while enjoy a nice shower or bath
It’s tiring having to deal with the regular pain and exhaustion of chronic fatigue, but there are definitely ways to lessen the torture and find relief. For more information or to order high quality eucalyptus and menthol products, head over to Eurospa!

Natural Ways to Beat Afternoon Tiredness Without the Side Effects

Natural Ways to Beat Afternoon Tiredness Without the Side Effects
Nothing’s worse than mental fog and fatigue but we all seem to battle it. You know the feeling that shows up every day, mid afternoon? If you reach for a coffee or soda, you’re only going to make it worse. The sugar and caffeine will help momentarily but keep the fatigue showing up for days, months and years to come, as they burn out your adrenals.

Don’t want to burn out your adrenals? Great. Here are some natural ways to beat afternoon tiredness, without the side effects.

Oxygen to the brain
Find a quiet place in your home or workplace that's free from distraction, but not your bed.  Turn on some relaxing music, read or just sit in the stillness. Take one, then two, then ten deep breaths.   This is your opportunity to oxygenate your blood cells and brain, for better functioning and increased energy!

Change it up
Sometimes doing the same repetitious actions make us tired. So change it up. Take a break to move your body, read a book, listen to music, and just live a little. What are the hobbies that make you come alive? How can you incorporate those things into those more sluggish hours?

Get Active
If you can go for a run or stop by the gym first thing in the morning, great!  If not, make a plan to implement a small routine into your morning so you at least set a pattern and habit to care for your mind and body which will in turn, not only set up your day with energy but also the rest of your life.

Take an energy shower
Turn up the heat and let your muscles both relax and rejuvenate! Add menthol crystals to the shower steam as well to further awaken and even reap the health benefits!  Menthol crystals open up your bronchial passage ways, allowing you do breathe deeper  and get more oxygen to your brain. More oxygen to the brain means more clarity and mental peace.  These crystals will add a great vibrancy to your day!

Fuel your body
Take time to eat a balanced meal, you are giving your body the fuel it needs for everything else and remember to drink plenty of water. Chinese medicine states that the morning meal is the fuel your body pulls from most, the rest of the day so be sure to get preventative and eat well at the start of the day.
Your health is our goal at Eurospa.  Let us know how we can make life better for you.
