What To Do During the Day to Have Better Sleep at Night.

What To Do During the Day to Have Better Sleep at Night. It’s so frustrating when you plop into bed after a long day only to lay in bed restless and wait for sleep to come. Or, what can be even more frustrating? When you know you’ve slept, but you feel more tired than when you went to bed.

These cycles are torturous and leave you unproductive and definitely unhappy. If you’ve been facing this for a long time, you might want to talk to your doctor. In the meantime, we have some habits to share with you that just might create the change you’re looking for.

  1. Get checked for anemia. So many people are anemic and don’t know it. Even if you think you get enough iron via supplements and food, iron can be hard to absorb and you might need a different source or higher dose.
  2. Protein and fat before bed: Eat protein and a little fat before bed to keep your blood sugar balanced during sleep. This will help you wake up clearer and without the morning headache. This tip is especially good for people who tend toward low blood sugar issues. One idea? Nut butters. Have a spoonful or make a nut-milk with protein powder drink about 45 min before bed!
  3. Dark room: Having too much light in the room messes with our ability to fall into REM sleep (when we get the most rest). The pituitary gland gets confused, thinks it’s becoming daytime and will cause you to wake up halfway or fully.
  4. Hydration: Stay hydrated all day. Dehydration can actually lead to more frequent toilet trips. As well, a hydrated body is a hydrated brain. A hydrated brain functions far better in the early morning hours than a dehydrated and slow brain.
  5. Media curfew: The blue light in phones and computers are disruptive to the pituitary gland, and keep you from winding down. So set a curfew no less than an hour before bed.
  6. Lavender in the evening:  Treat yourself to a simple massage. Put a few drops of lavender in almond oil and massage slowly and deeply from your feet all the way up to your neck and head, paying extra attention to your temples and forehead.
  7. Eucalyptus oil shower in the morning: Eucalyptus oil, a menthol based plant, is known for increasing blood circulation all over the body, which is especially helpful for the mind. By spraying eucalyptus oil into the steam of your shower, your skin, lungs and mental function will be activated, cleansed and boosted!
  8. Activity; 20-30 minutes of body movement: Get your body moving. Get the oxygen flowing. Yoga, pilates, cardio, weights. They’re all great. Don’t over exhaust yourself but definitely do enough that your body feels tired and ready to rest - not anxious and ready to move.

At Eurospa, we know how important it is to feel good, be energized and well rested. We hope you find these tips helpful. Please enjoy the quality of our eucalyptus products and feel free to contact us with any needs or questions.

Get the Energy Boost You Need Without Reaching for the Caffeine.

Get the Energy Boost You Need Without Reaching for the Caffeine. We all know that mid afternoon lag that seems to hook us right when we need to finish our work days or make the drive home. What about the common feeling of waking up to your alarm, just to feel like you never slept in the first place? Tiredness can ruin your day, productivity and mood - which is why it’s so normal to reach for a coffee or energy shot at all hours of the day!

But the truth is, consuming too much caffeine can really burn out our adrenals. The adrenal glands regulate our alertness, our sleep cycles and metabolism. If they are burnt out, the domino effect can be very dangerous to the mind and body.

So it's important to have some quick and easy solutions for beating brain fog naturally, without caffeine burning out the adrenals.

Our solution? Eucalyptus oil. Eucalyptus oil has a long list of health benefits, including respiratory health, muscle pain relief, immune system support and of course - an increase of energy!

Aside from mental exhaustion, eucalyptus essential oil is commonly used to stimulate mental activity and increase blood flow to the brain. Since the essential oil is considered a vasodilator by many, it means that it increases the blood flow around the body by relaxing the blood vessels and allowing more blood to circulate. Basically, more blood to the brain means more brain power, and eucalyptus essential oil is commonly employed in classrooms as a form of causal aromatherapy to increase student performance. Further, formal research must be done in this area, but all signs point to the positive correlation between brain function and eucalyptus essential oil.

One way that many people use to get the benefits of eucalyptus oil is to add it to baths, spas and saunas because of its refreshing and antiseptic attributes. Most of the benefits of eucalyptus essential oil can be accessed through the vapor, as well as topical application or ingestion. To keep it simple, we at Eurospa, have created a Eucalyptus Shower Spray for your happy and healthy convenience.

The use of eucalyptus oil in healing practices is increasing in popularity worldwide, because of it's many benefits and uses. It also blends well with many other essential oils including the essential oils of thyme, rosemary, marjoram, lavender, cedarwood, and frankincense.

We know you're tired. You deserve a healthy solution. We've made that for you. If you're ready to enjoy the benefits for yourself, click here. At Eurospa, your health is our priority and we're honored to be a part of it!

Helpful Tips for People Suffering from Chronic Fatigue Headaches!

Chronic fatigue is no laughing matter and it’s quite common in America. You try to sleep and get the rest you need, but in the morning you wake up exhausted, with tight muscles and a tension headache to go with it.  While chronic fatigue is a complex issue, we at Eurospa do have some helpful tips for you who suffer from it, so you can at least reduce and relieve some of the most common pain; the headache.

  • Food: Some foods are going to aggravate your condition. Some of the most common ones will be those that cause inflammation, such as processed sugar, white grains, coffee and dairy. Reduce these and you’ll not only sleep better, but be able to have less tension in your muscles.
  • Hydrate:  Try to Drink 2-3 liters a day. Your brain cells and blood need to be hydrated properly for everything to work smoothly.  Dehydration in the muscles cause tightening, which leads to headaches in the neck and forehead.
  • Sleep:  Aim to get 7-9 hours each night. Be sure that you have a relaxation routine before bed, without media, to help you get pure and restful sleep. Power naps are also very helpful just after lunch, to get you through the day with less pain.
  • Massage:  Gently Massage your middle and index finger along the back of your neck and in small circles at the temples and between the eyebrows.
  • Relax:  We are an over scheduled society that tends to worry about the smallest details in life.  Make time to pause in your day and breathe deeply, bringing as much oxygen to your cells and muscle fibers as possible.
  • Take Screen Breaks: Staring at the computer, your phone or TV forces your eyes to not only stare in one place for an extended amount of time, but the screen itself can cause eye strain. Take 2 minute breaks every 30 minutes to close your eyes as well as find different locations around the room to focus on, to keep the muscles of your eyes mobile.
  • Eucalyptus:  Applying eucalyptus oil to your forehead can be incredibly soothing for stress headaches in the same manner as peppermint oil. (see below) Like peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil can soothe, relax muscles and clear nasal passages.  It's great to inhale as well, because it has anti microbial properties that can help attack germs and viruses that may be causing the headache. Either put a few drops of eucalyptus oil into a bowl of steaming water and inhale deeply or take advantage of our Eucalyptus Oil Shower Spray, while enjoy a nice shower or bath
It’s tiring having to deal with the regular pain and exhaustion of chronic fatigue, but there are definitely ways to lessen the torture and find relief. For more information or to order high quality eucalyptus and menthol products, head over to Eurospa!

Natural Ways to Beat Afternoon Tiredness Without the Side Effects

Natural Ways to Beat Afternoon Tiredness Without the Side Effects
Nothing’s worse than mental fog and fatigue but we all seem to battle it. You know the feeling that shows up every day, mid afternoon? If you reach for a coffee or soda, you’re only going to make it worse. The sugar and caffeine will help momentarily but keep the fatigue showing up for days, months and years to come, as they burn out your adrenals.

Don’t want to burn out your adrenals? Great. Here are some natural ways to beat afternoon tiredness, without the side effects.

Oxygen to the brain
Find a quiet place in your home or workplace that's free from distraction, but not your bed.  Turn on some relaxing music, read or just sit in the stillness. Take one, then two, then ten deep breaths.   This is your opportunity to oxygenate your blood cells and brain, for better functioning and increased energy!

Change it up
Sometimes doing the same repetitious actions make us tired. So change it up. Take a break to move your body, read a book, listen to music, and just live a little. What are the hobbies that make you come alive? How can you incorporate those things into those more sluggish hours?

Get Active
If you can go for a run or stop by the gym first thing in the morning, great!  If not, make a plan to implement a small routine into your morning so you at least set a pattern and habit to care for your mind and body which will in turn, not only set up your day with energy but also the rest of your life.

Take an energy shower
Turn up the heat and let your muscles both relax and rejuvenate! Add menthol crystals to the shower steam as well to further awaken and even reap the health benefits!  Menthol crystals open up your bronchial passage ways, allowing you do breathe deeper  and get more oxygen to your brain. More oxygen to the brain means more clarity and mental peace.  These crystals will add a great vibrancy to your day!

Fuel your body
Take time to eat a balanced meal, you are giving your body the fuel it needs for everything else and remember to drink plenty of water. Chinese medicine states that the morning meal is the fuel your body pulls from most, the rest of the day so be sure to get preventative and eat well at the start of the day.
Your health is our goal at Eurospa.  Let us know how we can make life better for you.

Fight Adrenal Fatigue Naturally with These Simple Home Remedies

Fight Adrenal Fatigue Naturally with These Simple Home RemediesNobody like that feeling of exhaustion that hits right around 3pm, where you have to wonder if just one more cup of coffee is a good idea. You don’t know how to do without it. And on top of it all, you’re counting down the hours left until you can sleep again.
If you have felt this way or feel this way now, you’re not alone. Unfortunately, for many, just because you finally have the chance to sleep at night, doesn’t mean that you will. You might just lay in bed, ready to rest, only to find your brain even more powered on than before. These are very common symptoms of adrenal fatigue or burnout.
Adrenal fatigue is very dangerous and left to it’s own devices can lead to serious autoimmune diseases. If you’re not waking up energized and rested, if you’re finding yourself craving caffeine or sweets come mid afternoon, you might be dealing with adrenal fatigue. And we at Eurospa want to help you by sharing some simple home remedies that will help you feel rested, boost your immune system and restart your energy levels.
Early to bed. This one may seem logical, but it’s true nonetheless. Make sure, if you’re dealing with extreme exhaustion, that you commit to a good 30 days of going to bed early. Sure you might miss out on late night activities but you’ll get your health and energy levels back. Isn’t that worth it?
Hydration. Adrenal fatigue causes dehydration. Think of your tired self as a wilted flower. Feed the flower and the flower will stop being wilted. Your brain needs adequate water to function, so give as asked.
Invigoration. Don’t just pinch yourself to wake up, use Eucalyptus oil. Just a few sprays of Eucalyptus oil into your shower will wake up not only your mind, but also your circulation and respiratory system, which will boost your immune system as well.
B Vitamins. B Vitamins are necessary for proper adrenal function. Diets that are higher in fat and lower in carbs can rob the body of it’s needed B vitamins. Get a high quality supplement if you think you might not be getting enough from your diet.
No Toxins. Reduce or eliminate refined sugars and toxins from the diet. Your body’s insulin levels and defense systems rise and fall dramatically when having to deal with added toxins. This includes alcohol and sweets. Take some time off. You won’t regret it.
Stress Less.  You might be surprised at how detrimental stress is to your health; especially your adrenals. Stress releases extra cortisol -the body’s stress hormone. Too much cortisol puts at dangerous risk for autoimmune disorders and will require even more time and extreme measures of rest in order to heal and reach homeostasis. If you know you have high stress, consider your options. Look for more ways to pause in your day and week and remind yourself of what’s important. Look for things to have gratitude about. Ask for help. Don’t put too much on your shoulders. Talk to your family and closest friends and let them know you need support in making changes.

At Eurospa, we desire to support your health in any way possible. Of course, we know that our Eucalyptus oil spray will not only rejuvenate you and boost your immune system, but it also adds a high amount of relaxation to your day and helps to ease cortisol release. Don’t let stress and exhaustion rule your health. Let Eurospa help.

Surprising Health Benefits of Steam Rooms and Saunas You'll Enjoy!

Surprising Health Benefits of Steam Rooms and Saunas You'll Enjoy! If you have have had the pleasure of enjoying a sauna or steam room, you know it’s worth every penny of investment for your health, your skin and your mental well being. At Eurospa, we design our products, like our Eucalyptus Oil Spray, to enhance your steam room and sauna experience. We believe your health and wellness should be a top priority, because you deserve to have a healthy and vibrant life.
But do you know the benefits of steam rooms and saunas?
The benefits of saunas and steam baths are widely reported. Heat therapy helps to relieve stress and improve health overall. Perspiration stimulates circulation, sooths tired muscles, reduces nervous tension, and promotes healthier and more beautiful skin. You’ll probably get a better night’s sleep, too.
Here are some other benefits to sauna bathing:
  • Gives a cardiovascular workout and helps condition the heart by increasing heart rate and improving circulation. Better circulation allows more oxygen to reach injured areas of the body and helps reduce pain and speed up the healing process.
  • Soothes and relaxes tired muscles, especially before and after exercise. Heat therapy loosens the muscles and relaxes the body. Many massage therapists use heat to provide more thorough and effective treatment.
  • Cleanses skin: Sweating opens pores in the skin and flushes unhealthy toxins, loosens and expels dead cells, softens the skin and clears the complexion. The result: a more beautiful you.
  • The body eliminates most toxins naturally by sweating and heat therapy speeds up this natural process. Heat therapy stimulates the sweat glands, helping to cleanse and detoxify the body of sodium, alcohol, nicotine, cholesterol and carcinogenic heavy metals (cadmium, lead, zinc, nickel). Excess moisture and subcutaneous fat can be reduced, as well.
  • May help to relieve allergies and sinus congestion.
  • During a 10-20 minute sauna session, your heart rate increases by 50-75%. This provides the same metabolic result as physical exercise. Combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise, sauna bathing can burn as many as 300 calories during each session, which is equal to running 2-3 miles and taking a brisk walk. There is a slight effect on blood pressure because the heat also causes blood vessels to expand, thus accommodating increased blood flow.
We are happy that you are taking the time to invest in your health, because you deserve it. Please, feel free to stop by and see what further products and services we have to offer. Have a beautiful day!

Tired Again? Quick and Easy Ways to Boost Your Energy Naturally!

Tired Again? Quick and Easy Ways to Boost Your Energy Naturally!
Fatigue, exhaustion and generally just feeling tired is one of the most common complaints in western societies. So how are you supposed to handle something so debilitating and yet common, in a healthy way?
This is a question circulating in many social circles, as people all over debate what form of stimulant is the best.  From coffee to chocolate to supplements and energy drinks... people are determined to get energized.

If I told you that this was all possible in the most natural and healthy ways, would you lean in?
Well, here's your chance.  If you have hit your limit  and are tired of being tired,  then I have some quick and easy ways for you to boost your energy naturally.

Here you go.

1. First of all, remove or decrease false stimulants in your diet and lifestyle that rob you of your energy reserves.  Take an audit of your chocolate, coffee, tea, processed sugars and refined carbohydrates in your diet. These are false stimulants and only stimulate you on a superficial and temporary level, leaving you with a crash later on.  So slowly decrease the false stimulants and replace them with fresh juice, water and tonic herbs. Your natural energy will become stronger as your body re-balances without these substances, and is able to know the proper energy release and relaxation needs your body is requiring.

2. Stay hydrated with clean, purified water.  Not only do false stimulates confuse our adrenal glands, but they also dehydrate the body of it's need water! Most people know by now that the body is made of 80% water.  If you aren't getting enough water while also dehydrating it with your food and beverage choices, you should know that your brain cells are going to suffer.  In order to think clearly, your brain needs properly hydrated cells.  If you feel like a wilted flower, it's likely you need to be watered.

3. Keep your body moving daily for best results. Committing to regularly moving your body will increase your natural energy flow dramatically. You'll notice after about a week that your normal symptoms of feeling sluggish, heavy and stagnant, will begin to shift in incredible ways. Your oxygen intake and absorption will increase, causing endorphins to begin to flow. Don't worry, you don't have to have a one hour power sweating session! Of course, those are great, but simply going for a fast paced walk or doing a series of yoga poses for a good 25-30 minutes, will boost your vitality quite quickly.

4. Get fresh .... with your air, that is.  Find time each day to get out in the fresh air; even if it's raining.  Take the time to breathe deeply and slowly, in through your nose and out through your mouth.  Oxygen brought in through the nose goes more directly into the parts of the brain needed for active and focused thought.  This is an easy tip to implement, and should be done 10 breaths at a time.

5. Stay in the moment.  Focusing on your past or worrying about the finances or future instead of simply living in the moment your are currently experiencing, causes your stress levels to skyrocket.  Stress instantly depletes your energy, because it releases the hormone Cortisol. Cortisol is big enemy of your adrenal glands.  Too much cortisol release, and your adrenals will totally burn out.  This is very serious and far harder to handle than simply being tired.  To avoid this be sure to continually try to remind yourself to come back to the present moment. The whirlwind of thoughts creating stress and fatigue will decrease, your focus will increase and you will find your energy quickly rebuilding!

Your health is our number one priority, at Eurospa.  We provide high quality natural Eucalyptus products to bring more quality to your life!  Please let us know how we can best serve you.
