Surprising Ways OXYGEN Can Heal You & How to Get More of It!

Did you know that oxygen shortage in the human body has been linked to every major illness category including heart conditions, cancer, digestion and elimination problems, respiratory disease, inflamed, swollen and aching joints, sinus problems, yeast infections and even sexual dysfunction? It’s not common knowledge yet but new studies are coming out every day.  At Eurospa, we like to keep you informed.

So let’s talk about oxygen, how we can get more of it and what it will do for us.

Oxygen is our primary source of energy and is the main energy source for our brain function. It calms the mind and stabilizes the nervous system. Without oxygen we cannot absorb important vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients our body needs. When our cells lack oxygen they weaken and die. Without oxygen, nothing works very well or at all.

That means that "taking 10 deep breaths" to calm down is a totally valid  and medically proven way to relieve stress and calm the nervous system No pills, just an easy step to big change.

Before I send you suggestions, it’s important to remind you that worry and anxiety aren't part of the stress-less solution. So start by intentionally choosing not to worry and instead take care of yourself. How to take care of yourself? With more oxygen of course.
Here’s how:

  • exercise: raising your aerobic activity level forces the blood to distribute oxygen throughout the body quickly and efficiently
  • essential oils: use lavender and sandlewood to relax and calm down and oils such as rosemary or eucalyptus in the shower or sauna are great for enhancing oxygen absorption and detoxing and cleansing the body of toxins.
  • sauna or steam room: the heat and moisture relax and allow the body to take in more oxygen and release toxins and stress.

At Eurospa, we are dedicated to furthering your health and hope you feel uplifted by this post. Please check out the different products we offer to enhance your health and lifestyle!

Happy Halloween! How to Protect Your Health From the Sugar Shock!

Happy Halloween! How to Protect Your Health From the Sugar Shock!Halloween is here and there's about to be a lot of sugar consumed!  You need to protect your health from the sugar shock! Of course, we all know it's fun to go crazy with the treats, but it's important to find the healthy balance ahead of time to make sure you don't go through with-drawls for the next week.

These tips are great for preventative and treatment for both kids and adults. So, read on and get ready!

KEEP HYDRATED
I can't say it enough.  Any ache, pain, ailment.....  always reach for water first! When we eat too much sugar, our muscles hold onto it like caramel in the fibers. These caramel coatings absorb extra water as a muscular protection; this creates a dehydrated atmosphere. If you are drinking alcohol or coffee as well, you will be adding to additional dehydration.  So, stay sober and healthy or add tons of water to the mix to both flush toxins and keep the body hydrated.

EAT GREENS

Sugar robs the body of minerals, that can cause dizziness, fatigue and bloating. Eating dark green leafy vegetables, juices and smoothies, brings a mineral balance back to the body, helping you feel alive and fresh again.

TWIST IT:
Just like wringing out a wet towel of it's moisture, twisting your body can aid in releasing toxins stored in your intestines or stomach lining.  It's very simple.  You just sit down on the floor with your back straight up and your legs outstretched, together in front of you.  Now, bend and pull your left leg up and place your foot on the floor, with your knee standing up and your foot touching your inner right thigh.  Now take a deep breath, and as you exhale, slowly turn your body to the left as far as you can go, exhaling all the air out.  Then, as you twist back to center, inhale gently.  Switch legs and repeat this process on the other side.  Keep doing this if you can for 3-5 repetitions and then lay flat on your back and relax.  Your belly will thank you.

ESSENTIAL OILS:
There are a few ways to ease your stomach ache with essential oils.  One, is to place a couple drops of peppermint oil or tincture into your glass of water. (It's important to remember that you should aim to stay hydrated during this time anyway.  While that may not sound appealing, the peppermint will help ease that distaste.) Next, it's good to have a bottle of Eucalyptus Oil Shower Mist on hand anyway, for many reasons!  One being that you can add it to the steam of the above suggested bath for internal relaxation and refreshment; great for internal spasms! Another use being that you can grab a little caster oil, mixed with a little coconut oil and rub that gently on your abdomen.  Then spray the eucalyptus onto your belly and rub in a clockwise motion.  The oils will carry the anti microbial and anti-spasmatic power of the eucalyptus into your body and allow them to work their healing magic.

Nobody wants sugar to put a damper on their summer fun, but if you end up with the aches and pains, it's comforting to know that there are options out there that are natural and efficient in bringing healing and relief.

At Eurospa, helping you achieve health naturally is our priority.  We are proud to provide you with the highest quality products to deliver that health.  Please stop by and let us know how we can further the health of your life or business, today!

Get Your Glow Back! Easy Tips to Youthful Skin, Slowing Aging and Feeling Great!

Get Your Glow Back! Easy Tips to Youthful Skin, Slowing Aging and Feeling Great! If you're like many others, you look in the mirror and wish you could get that radiant youthful glow back. If you've accepted that there's no turning back the hands of time, I'm here to tell you that the best can still be made of the situation. I'm not suggesting the nearest med spa. I'm suggesting you make a few small changes and additions to your day and week.  With these simple tips for youthful skin, you'll slow aging, feel great and get a whole lot of your glow back!

You ready?

DRINK UP!
Water is your friend.  Coffee, tea and sodas are NOT your friend. They have their place and don't need to be tossed out, but the truth is, they are highly dehydrating. Our bodies are 80% water and need proper hydration to function at their best. If you really feel you can't live without these things, please by all means, counter them with and increased water intake. Not sure how much to drink?  Simply determine how much you weigh in pounds - let's say 140.  Now divide that in half and convert to ounces - 70.  If you weigh 140 pounds, you should consume 70 ounces of water daily.  Go for 90 ounces at least if you need to include coffee, tea or soda.   Now, I know this may seem like a lot.  But please don't be discouraged.  Feel free to add a couple lemon or orange slices to the water and make it taste good.  Your blood needs water to flow well.  Your skin is the organ that tells you when the inside of your body has a need.  Love yourself and your family enough to take care of yourself, even if only with baby steps.

LOVE GREEN
This one is pretty self explanatory.  As long as you know that I'm not talking about green food coloring, then you will know what to do.   Green fruits and vegetables are packed with Chlorophyll, vitamins and minerals that both bring elasticity and suppleness to the skin.  Bonus point?  Great for you metabolism as well!  Eat plenty of what you already love and begin to experiment and explore the delicious ways to enjoy the new foods!

SLEEPING BEAUTY
Get Your Glow Back! Easy Tips to Youthful Skin, Slowing Aging and Feeling Great!Do it.  Sleep. Try not to eat 3 hours before going to bed.  Turn off all TVs, computers and phones at least an hour before you sleep.  Take some deep relaxing breathes and be thankful for the beauty in your life and day. Make sure your sleep environment is peaceful and calm.  Then dive in.  Sleep, is the time when our cells rejuvenate.  Things like mind activity and digestion steal our cell's focus and keep them from using our sleep ours from the priority of their renewal.  Do your body a favor and sleep in peace.  You will not only get more youthful skin, but will wake refreshed and more motivated to continue caring for your health.

INNER PEACE
We all have stress.  It's the common thread in our modern society.  We are over committed, over worked and have a hard time saying 'no'.  It's ok to take time for yourself.  It's ok to make a cut-off point for your work day. When stressed, the body releases the hormone cortisol into our systems, causing tense muscles, emotional highs and lows, lowered immune system and well - wrinkles!  Now, this could be a whole topic in itself an maybe that's soon to come.  But for now, consider what stresses you and ways you can relieve those situations and responses.

LET IT OUT
Our body detoxifies itself best through release.  One way we 'release' is through sweat.  My two favorite ways to sweat is through exercise and heat.  Exercise is anything that gets your heart rate elevated for more than 20 consecutive minutes.  You can decide what exercise is best for you but then stick to it.  (Again, it seems this should be expanded in another blog.  What do you think? Let me know!)  On to the topic of heat.  Shower, sauna, steam room... you decide.  Of course, the luxury of a sauna and steam room are ideal but if you have only a shower as an option, you will get the most out of it by adding a few sprays of our Eucalyptus Shower Mist to really open up the respiratory passages, increase circulation and further detoxify the skin.

Your health and life quality is our priority.  It's why we do what we do.

So instead of being frustrated at age taking it's toll, step in to action and implement the 5 tips into your life schedule.  You will be so happy you did.

5 Tips to Glowing More Youthful Skin

Have you looked in the mirror lately?  Are you haunted by the ever increasing lines showing up on your face?  Are you finding that the skin you so proudly wore in your youth is beginning to hang out a little further from your bones than it used to?  Never fear.  Don't simply run to the nearest medical spa!  Below are 5 simple, easy everyday tips for glowing, more youthful skin.

You ready?

1.  Hydrate - Water is your friend.  Coffee, tea and sodas are NOT your friend.  Sure they taste good and we are used to them.  But it's time we accept the truth that our bodies are 80% water and it needs water to function best.  Beverages that wet our mouth but actually dehydrate our bodies are an addicting disservice that we have allowed to become an unhealthy norm.
