Easy Back to School Immune Boosting Tips!

Easy Back to School Immune Boosting Tips!School is about to be back in session and it’s important that your family’s immune system is prepared for it. After all, summer has been great, but it’s time to get back to learning and not spend your days wasting away and nursing a cold! Germs are inevitable but you can do your best to fight them. Here’s how:
Magnesium.
Americans are chronically low in magnesium. The signs are everywhere with all of the road rage, abuse, high blood pressure, and stress that people live with on a daily basis. It’s most well known as the calming nutrient because of its ability to relax muscles, help us sleep, regulate hormones, relax blood vessels, and relieve depression. Aren’t you calmer just reading about it? Magnesium moves dietary calcium into the bones, decalcifies arteries, helps prevent blood clotting, and improves mental disorders like anxiety, hyperactivity, and depression. This is ridiculously necessary for helping your immune system function properly and has a bonus of better sleep, less growing pains and increased focus at school.
Healthy Eating
The following foods are extremely beneficial for your overall health and strength of your immune system. Be sure to get a balanced amount of each.

-Fermented foods such as kefir, kimchee, miso, pickles, sauerkraut, etc.
-Raw, organic eggs from free-ranging chickens
-Coconuts and coconut oil
-Locally grown fruits and vegetables
-Mushrooms, especially Reishi, Shiitake, and Maitake, which contain beta glucans (which have immune-enhancing properties)
-Garlic, a potent antimicrobial that kills bacteria, viruses AND fungi
-Herbs and spices with high ORAC scores: Turmeric, oregano, cinnamon, cloves

Send nutritious snacks to school with your children. Chopped veggies to dip in hummus, sauteed vegetables and brown rice with protein is a great energizing lunch, both for the mind and immune system.

Stay Hydrated.
Keeping hydrated allows the body to both function efficiently and to flush toxins and bacteria from your system. Water is essential for the optimal function of every system in your body. Keeping kids hydrated isn’t always easy when they’re at school. Send them with water bottles and require them to drink a glass of water before each meal to get into good habits at home. Without enough water, a flower wilts. Our minds and bodies are the same.

Steam
The body loves a chance to release stored toxins in the skin and other organs. For adults, either create a good steaming shower and add our eucalyptus oil shower spray to the mix or do the same in a quality sauna or steam room.  This will also fight bronchial infections, respiratory struggles, growing pains, improve circulation and alleviate pain from fibromyalgia and arthritis. For children, run a bath for them with just one spray onto the tub walls for the same yet lighter effect.

Tea.
Encourage tea drinking at all ages. Choose herbal teas and tonics. Dandelion with a little nut milk and honey not only tastes delicious but detoxes the liver. (A key immune system player!) Chamomile and lavender are great at night before bed. Your options are open. Go explore!

Sleep.
Homework calls, but sleep should call louder. The body needs time to recoup. If there seems to be more homework than time, reevaluate time management and create a more healthy schedule. Waking earlier is better than going to bed later as well. To get the most out of sleep, you need more REM time. To get this, limit eating to no later than 2 hours before bed, unless it’s a protein based, no starch, no sugar snack. Stay away from media, computers and phones at least an hour before bed.

At Eurospa, we are committed to your health and the health of the world around you. Please take close care of your immune system this season and talk to us about our other products available for personal and spa use!

How To Ease Period Cramps Naturally and Quickly at Home

How To Ease Period Cramps Naturally and Quickly at HomeMenstrual pain and cramps are not a monster to play with. They come at the worst time and have a way about slowing your day and keeping you parked on the couch. But you have the right to find relief faster and without the extra drugs. Not all women are aware of how much power they have over their body’s health and wellness. We’re here to educate you, because you deserve it.

At Eurospa, we are dedicated to increasing your quality of life and health. We have compiled a small yet helpful list of natural home remedies to ease that pesky menstrual pain.

How To Ease Period Cramps Naturally and Quickly at Home

Limit Caffeine Consumption
Everybody is different and sometimes a warm cup of coffee does just the trick. But it’s important to know that too much caffeine is incredibly dehydrating to your body, causing circulation to slow and pain to rist. Caffeine constricts your blood levels and raises tension: so when you’re suffering from cramps, it’s wiser to do everything possible to stay hydrated. Drinking water and herbal tea instead will not only keep your flow hydrated, but will also help relieve bloating that may occur during your period. For a caffeine free energy boost, try these tips!

Heat.
Run a hot shower. Let the steam add up.  While you're at it, spray some of Eurospa's Eucalyptus Shower Spray into the steam.  The cleansing nature of the oil will be heightened in the stream and permeate your bronchial passages, resulting in relaxation and a further detoxified system.   Make sure that while you allow the hot water to really fall on your lower back.  This will relax those aching muscles and give you the chance to, at the same time, massage your lower belly which actually makes the process of 'release' more efficient!  Who wouldn't want that? Feel free to soak in the tub when you’re ready!

Hot Water Bottles.
No time or energy for the hot shower. That’s fine. Get a hot water bottle or heating pad. They may seem old-fashioned, but they really, truly help warm and relax the muscles in your lower abdomen. They are an affordable and worthy investment that will bring you relief month after month.  The heat relaxes the tension around your pain and helps the flow move more fluidly. If heat overwhelms you, use the oil combination mentioned below!

Massage the Area.
Once the area has been warmed, this is a great time for some gentle massage. Grab some cooling massage oil, if you can. You can make your own with a blend of peppermint, ginger, lavender and fractionated coconut oil.  Lavender will relax and calm you, the cinnamon aids in circulation (bringing comfort) and the peppermint with ginger is actually a very good topical anti-inflammatory.  I did this step recently and slept so much better that night.

You may not find your menstrual pain disappearing all together, but you will feel more alive and able to function more comfortably and happily, without the extra drugs!

At Eurospa, we enjoy bringing more quality to your life!  Stop by and see what we can do to better your health and daily living!

Simple Natural Tips to Better Sleep and Increased Morning Energy!

Simple Natural Tips to Better Sleep and Increased Morning Energy!Everyone wants to wake up refreshed and energized for their day. But that’s not always easy when you’ve had a late night or have to wake up early. Most people reach quickly for the nearest cup of coffee on repeat. But have you ever noticed what follows? There’s an afternoon crash that follows around 2 or 3. You reach for another coffee. The caffeine keeps you up until at least 11pm. Then the next day, the cycle repeats.

Not very sustainable.

What about some more natural tips to prevent the cycle from happening at all? How about some natural tips for better sleep and increased energy in the morning?

  1. Protein and fat before bed: Eat protein and a little fat before bed to keep your blood sugar balanced during sleep. This will help you wake up clearer and without the morning headache. This tip is especially good for people who tend toward low blood sugar issues. One idea? Nut butters. Have a spoonful or make a nut-milk with protein powder drink about 45 min before bed!
  2. Dark room: Having too much light in the room messes with our ability to fall into REM sleep (when we get the most rest). The pituitary gland gets confused, thinks it’s becoming daytime and will cause you to wake up halfway or fully.
  3. Hydration: Stay hydrated all day. Dehydration can actually lead to more frequent toilet trips. As well, a hydrated body is a hydrated brain. A hydrated brain functions far better in the early morning hours than a dehydrated and slow brain.
  4. Eucalyptus oil shower in the morning: Eucalyptus oil, a menthol based plant, is known for increasing blood circulation all over the body, which is especially helpful for the mind. By spraying eucalyptus oil into the steam of your shower, your skin, lungs and mental function will be activated, cleansed and boosted!
  5. High protein within 30 min of waking: So much of our foggy-headedness is due to a lack of nutrients; one of those being protein. Choose the protein that feels most right to you, but we recommend that you consume 20-30 grams. A protein shake is a perfect, quick and easy choice!
  6. 20 ounces of water in the first hour: Back to hydration. Start clear and well. A quick water intake not only starts your body with a gentle morning cleanse, but also fires up your cells with the needed water to function well.
  7. Activity - 5 - 10 minutes of body training: Get your body moving. Get the oxygen flowing. Yoga, pilates, cardio, weights. They’re all great. However, choosing an activity that’s grounding is a great way to boost your day.

At Eurospa, we know how important it is to feel good, be energized and well rested. We hope you find these tips helpful. Please enjoy the quality of our eucalyptus products and feel free to contact us with any needs or questions.

Stronger, Longer, Healthier Hair in 30 days? It’s Possible with These Natural Tricks!

Stronger, Longer, Healthier Hair in 30 days? It’s Possible with These Natural Tricks!Having long hair, for many, is a sign of health, beauty and even elegance. Many people, both men and women alike, would love some surefire ways to have long and lustrous locks. Did you know that there's no fool-proof scientific method prove to accelerate or stimulate hair growth? This is a result of the many varying factors that contribute to the process, such as the weather, your age, what foods you eat, living habits and general overall health.

With that being said though, there are still things you can do to hurry along hair growth and we are going to share with your our favorite beauty tips to do so!

1. Get your hair trimmed every month to every month and a half. You don’t need to take more than ¼ inch off; this is called “dusting”.  It will clean the damaged ends off, allowing the shaft to continue growing out rather than in many damaged directions.

2. Biotin and B Vitamins. Your hair is made of minerals and proteins so it’s important to feed them with the food they need as it supports the keratin infrastructure of the hair. Make sure you only take the recommended dosage though, as overdoing it can reverse the progress.

Stronger, Longer, Healthier Hair in 30 days? It’s Possible with These Natural Tricks!3. Hair Masks. A lot of people believe that this tip concerning how to make your hair grow faster doesn't work well, but egg whites have been known for their healing properties and their ability to replenish hair and restore its softness and shine! Just crack open a few eggs, strain out the yolks, and make an egg white mask for your hair. Your hair will look ten times healthier instantly and will feel a lot stronger as well -- which, ultimately, will allow your hair to grow faster!

4. Hydration. Drinking enough water each day helps the body to process and flush out toxins faster, which makes it a quick and easy natural method that will make your hair grow a lot faster. If you drink about 8 cups of water a day, not only will your body feel better, but your hair will get stronger. The stronger the hair, the faster that it grows. Drinking water also keeps your hair hydrated from the inside out. Hydrated hair is happy hair because, when dry, your hair is much more likely to break.

5. Never brush your hair when it’s wet. It’s more likely to break. Use a wide tooth come after applying a detangler and hair protection spray. Brush each night to keep the hair smooth and tangle free; further avoiding breakage while sleeping.

6. Protect Your Tresses. It's old news, but heat is damaging to your hair! Try to stay away from blow dryers and heated tools, as they burn the hair. If you MUST use them, be sure to use a heat protecting spray or cream first, before styling. Keep in mind that the sun damages hair as well. In warmer weather, or intense sunlight (even in the snow) keep a hat on to protect your hair from over drying and burning.

7. Eat fats and protein. Did you know that what you eat actually makes a difference in how fast your hair grows? If you eat a lot of good fats and protein-rich foods, you will see a huge difference in the quality of your hair, as well as the speed with which it grows. Things like organic butter, coconut oil, avocado, flax oil, fish, eggs, fresh fruits and vegetables, and even different meats all make a difference, so cut down on junk food and focus on heal meals.

8. Use Eucalyptus. Of course, right? Get into a sauna, steam room or even your shower, one to two times a week and spray eucalyptus oil shower spray near your head, about arms length away; never onto the head directly. The circulation promoting plant oils will penetrate through your open pores, waking up the follicles. Add to this a gentle scalp massage and you'll have one happy head! You can also make a topical essential oil blend. I suggest mixing three drops of lavender oil, three drops of rosemary oil, and two drops each of thyme oil and cedarwood oil, along with some jojoba oil. All of this should go right onto your head and, I promise, the mixture will enhance your hair and make it grow that much faster!

Eurospa is dedicated to your health inside and out. And health is definitely beautiful! We specialize in Eucalyptus products for both home spa and commercial use. Contact us today to see what we can do for you!

Need An Energy Boost? This Natural Solution Will Wake You Up FAST!

Need An Energy Boost? This Natural Solution Will Wake You Up FAST!We all know the drill so well. The alarm clock goes off, we roll over to turn it off and have no clue how we're going to wake up without 3 cups of coffee. What you need at that point is an energy boost like no other. Not a pill, not a drink - but a natural solution that will wake you up FAST.

Eucalyptus oil is the miracle we are talking about.

Most are familiar with the plant's ability to ease respiratory symptoms, soothe and open the airways, but not many are familiar with it's ability to wake up the senses and heighten energy and alertness.

1. It's invigorating. The menthol properties of eucalyptus leave a cooling sensation on the skin of the body and in the lungs. Just a few deep breaths and every cell of the body is invigorated and woken up from the inside out!

2. It feels like a shot of caffeine. The menthol content works like a vasoconstrictor, causing the cells to vibrate at a faster level, bringing more circulation and oxygen to the brain, inviting better concentration and more natural focus.

3. It creates relaxation and a sense of contentment. This is one of my favorite points. As the plant works it's way into the different parts of the body, each cell is not only invigorated but the body relaxes as though it's been to the spa. When your are awakened and relaxed at the same time, your mind feels an extra measure of peace and contentment. Not bad, right?

How to use it?

Our favorite way is to spray eucalyptus oil shower spray into the steam of your shower. The steam further activates the oil and your pores are open, able to better and more efficiently absorb the oil into your body and do it's work.

At Eurospa, we pride ourselves with providing you the highest quality of eucalyptus oil, easing many more symptoms of the body than we can address today. At Eurospa, we've been delivering our incredible eucalyptus and menthol products to homes and spas for over 30 years. Please, get your own bottle today and let us know how you feel!

Here's a Natural, Safe, Effective Ant Repellent You've Probably Never Heard Of!

Here's a Natural, Safe, Effective Ant Repellent You've Probably Never Heard Of!Nobody likes to find out an army of ants has been attacking their kitchen. And everyone is always on the look out for the right repellant. Unfortunately, most of these repellants contain harmful and toxic ingredients. But here's the good news: Eurospa has a solution that's natural, safe and totally effective. Want to know more?
First of all, black ants are very persistent. That's why it's so discouraging to discover them in your home... they keep coming back!. Your efforts begin to feel futile. It is possible to exterminate ants by fumigating, but there are so many reasons to want to avoid doing this, one being that it's toxic for your health as well. Is there a more natural solution to an ant infestation? Luckily, the answer is yes.
Ants navigate their lives through their sense of smell. They spread out, look for food and the ones that find it bring the report back to rest, letting them know where to go - using their sense of smell. So isn't that great, that because ants are vulnerable to certain strong smells, you have the change to get rid of them just by throwing their senses off.
Here comes the hero! Eucalyptus oil, with its strong scent, drives away ants by leaving them confused and unable to find food. Here's how you can use eucalyptus oil to keep the ants away!

Materials

Here's how you do it:
Instead of trying to kill each individual ant near your home, you want to prevent ants from even getting inside. So you need to figure out where the ants are getting in to house first. Usually, ants will form lines, so follow the line back to the start or entry point. However, this isn't always the case. If there is no line of ants to follow, you will simply have to look carefully for their entrance.

Next.

Spray the area of entry generously, so the ants aren't able to avoid or get around the oil. You also want to figure out what food source attracted the ants, and spray the area around it, along with any other areas that you frequently find them.

Not bad, right? At Eurospa, we love our eucalyptus essential oil and know you will too, whether you're using it for beauty, immune boosting, respiratory health, pain relief or even ants! Get you're own bottle and you'll see what we mean!
